It's not okay, but people act like it's equivalent to rape. If a guy or girl brushing against you is the same as rape then so is glomping.

It's true. I really think part of the problem with cons is the 'it's all in good fun' mentality, some that we see in this thread. So many people think haha it's a joke and then they can just brush it off, and if someone is uncomfortable with it then they are just spoilsports ruining fun or buttmad.

I know one of my friends (dressed as a poor-looking trap at the time) had some guy grab his dick in the elevator at Ohayocon once, but haha it's juts funny right...? I guess I'm glad he's okay with it, but I hope that guy doesn't go on to touch someone who is uncomfortable with it.

I'm not a very touchy-feely person, and it makes me uncomfortable. I wish I would have reported it, but I was just under the impression it was 'con fun' like being hit by a yaoi paddle or glomped- which were OK at the time.

Maybe my parents should have known better, but my parents didn't particularly care that much about me at the time I guess. I was with my grandmother at the convention. She should have been watching me, but we were chewed out at a meetup because I was told it was 'weird' to bring my grandmother, or that I needed to take care of her instead of being at a meet. (She was about 50 at the time, by the way, I had a very young grandmother.)
