Otakon is over, but there is no time to rest! Anime USA is only a month away. Are any of you going? How is your costume coming along? What are you cosplaying? AUSA thread.

Is it in the same place it was last year? Across from the (apparently haunted?) Omni?

I haven't decided whether I want to go or not. I thought the layout was bizarre last year, with few spots for pictures.

Yeah, its in the same place. I believe last year was their first year in that hotel. It was also my first year going so I'm giving it another go. They may of grown into it a little bit.

The latest I could find is 2011 with 5,000 estimated. I'd assume its grown a bit.

Same weekend as SPX, some I may only go for one or two days. It has some wonderful photoshoot locations for a particular sort of costume, one that works in a fancy/historical European setting.

Hopefully they'll have fixed up some of the major choke points on the upper floor and the basement.

So I wanna stay late one night- whichever one has voice actors after dark. However, I live too close to warrant my booking a room. That said, I don't exactly... know how to drive? I'm learning, but I won't be able to drive by myself by the con, no way.

I'd like to avoid taking a taxi from the metro stop nearest my home just because Metro thought it's a great idea to not provide later buses on Fridays and Saturdays. I mean if that's what I have to do I'll do it but... basically, anyone just coming to the con from within 30 minutes or so (preferably from NoVA), could you like drive me home one of the nights? I live in Alexandria so...
