What seems to be the problem? I want to do a faithful Cars/Wham cosplay. Cars/Wham have some good muscle mass on them (especially Wham). As I was before my bulk, I wasn't close to big enough to do a good cosplay. Now I am getting close to there.

So assuming this all goes well and smooth and I'm about 80% exposed with blades sticking out of my arms, what are the chances of people even recognizing me as Cars? I know a few will but I'm afraid people will think I'm just doing some generic warrior cosplay.

I'm aware JoJo is one of the bigger anime/manga out there but how popular is it at cons? Of all the cons I've been to (9 so far), I've only seen about two JoJo cosplays at each at most and close to no JoJo merch/art at their dealers hall and artist alley.

Just keep dieting and lowering your BF%. There are some exercises that will work your core/abs but it's about 95% diet and 5% exercise when it comes to getting a flat stomach/torso and/or visible abs.

I'm about 50 pounds heavier than you (same height) and my stomach is flat and I've got a V-taper going on. Just keep at it man. Are you counting your calories right? Have you calculated your TDEE? Are you sure you're not cutting a ridiculous amount of calories (like 1000+) and you're not going into starvation mode?

It's good that you're recording everything. That's a great start.

It's your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). It's essentially how many calories you should be eating to maintain your current weight. Eating at -500 calories of your TDEE is useful for about ~2-3lbs a week of weight loss without too much muscle loss (if you care for that). There are a bunch of calculators on the internet you can search for and find out.

It's bad if you used to be much bigger/fatter. Eating at such a low caloric deficit not only makes you feel like shit half the time and it's hard to get your essential nutrients with just 1000kcal for someone of your stature. By the end of it, you'll be looking more like an Aushwitz survivor than the lean, mean JoJos from Stone Ocean on.

So speaking about the nutrients, do you suggest that I pack more fruit into my lunch? As it goes right now I eat All Bran w/strawberries for breakfast, a piece of fruit for lunch and then whatever for dinner. Looking at that I guess some days I don't even make 1000 calories

if you don't have an embroidery machine, what you could do is use the vector and pattern some applique off of it, and do the tie that way.

Alternatively, you could paint it, but generally I'm more of a fan of applique - it looks cleaner.

As for the type of jacket Ceaser wears, just look for a green (or whatever fuckin' color you want, shit's jojo man) 3/4th sleeve blazer and roll up the sleeves. You could do the same thing with a full sleeve blazer but 3/4ths would probably be easier.
Alternatively you could just lop the sleeves off and hem them up, which would probably be the easiest option, but you'd be ruining a perfectly good jacket.

Working on Narancia right now, I'm a bit worried since I have big hips, but the skirt is perfect for hiding them. I'm using shiny lycra, vinyl and pleather to make it as flashy as possible. I also found some dazzling golden foam here which I'll be using for the details on the top and the shoes.
I also cosplayed Reimi before with a big group, but Ihave no good pictures of the full group.

You can try using this Iron-on transfer paper for t-shirts. Just print them out, cut out the design and iron it on. They're a little pricy but well worth it. Also, I suggest getting the ones specified for dark t-shirts because the color is stronger after you iron it on.

There's none that are super easy, but there's some that aren't particularly hard compared to other JoJo outfits.

Johnny, Kakyoin, Narancia, and Lisa Lisa are the classic "easy" outfits, and there's some more that a beginner level cosplayer could pull off with a bit of effort.

Unfortunately everybody seems to want to do the tricky ones first.

I'd still say Kakyoin has one of the easier cloth costume pieces, as does Koichi. Gakurans are piss easy. But I wouldn't put Kira as one of the easiest because while you can make it vaguely recognizable with ease, the cut of his suit is one that's going to require either finding an authentic suit pattern from the early 90s, an authentic light-colored early 90s suit, or a lot of tailoring and pattern modification, and most cosplayers aren't up to that challenge level of sewing or have good enough luck to find a base suit that fits properly.

After making Kakyoin's wig, I can vouch that it is a massive bitch, but it didn't really take that long to make - just took copious amounts of hairspray/hair glue and some creative thinking. And the costume is so easy, I'd definitely still count it as an easier joseph costume.

Some of the part 8 costumes are pretty easy too. Not so much Josuke, but Yasuho/Daiya are both fairly simple (if you get past the rosette splurge on her skirt,) and shit, I pretty much made everything on my nijimura costume in three days. Only thing hard about that one is star tights and a funky hat.

Almost all of Narancia's outfit sewing is rectangles and straight lines. It takes effort, and I wouldn't try and toss it together in a week or something, but it isn't nearly as hard as a lot of the other part 5 outfits. Difficulty in a lot of the designs is what you make of it. You can do Johnny really easily by cutting up star leggings, or you can be insane like that one American Johnny who appliqued 200+ stars on her jumpsuit. They're both Johnny.

I feel like for this series there's two groups of cosplayers. There's the ones who are really in to trying to look exactly like the characters and who look down on those who aren't tall and muscular enough, and then there's the ones who aren't the right build and do it anyway.

For the most part it's the less accurate build ones who tend to have the better costumes, even if they're too scrawny or chubby, or if they're one of the miniature women who still have a ton of JoJo costumes.

Different guy here. I'm in college, so eating is a bit restrictive. I try very hard not to eat any kind of bread, (except for 2 pieces of garlic bread this morning), no drinks but water, and I try to exercise every day. I mainly eat chicken, but I don't really have access to any kind of chicken that isn't breaded.

I was doing the 30 Day Ab Challenge thing, and was making good progress, but I moved into my dorm and the floor wasn't what I was used to; I did about 100 Sit Ups and 60 Crunches and basically chafed all the skin off my fucking ass, so I haven't done any exercises in a week other than walking.

And can anyone give me advice on how to make some of my stuff for Joseph?

Whenever JoJo threads end up about "lifting" and "bulking" and all this other crap, they go to shit...and 99% of the time, the guys doing the "I'M GONNA BE XBAWKS HUEG FOR JOJO" either look like shit because their costume ends up being shit, or it just never happens.

So post more pictures and less stupid shit that no one really cares about anyway. If you wanna make a JoJo costume, just do it...honestly, fans of the series won't give a shit about your size/shape/etc...they'll be too excited to see other fans and wanting to talk about JoJo/asking for a pictures to care.

This has ALWAYS been my experience with JoJo fans. It doesn't matter if the outfits are newbie tier or perfection tier, if you're actually a JoJo fan and not just hur dur do you even pose za warudo wryyyyy, the fans are all just super happy to find other fans.
