Are you sure? Do you even know what lens and settings were used for this picture? I highly doubt you do. Part of the subject is in focus and the blur could be partially from it being edited, shot that way on purpose, or an accident. Maybe they used a prime and set it up for a real short depth in focus. She is bent at the hips so it is plausible.

Either way, it was stupid how much money was raised. Continue with your shitstorm of hate on it.

Ironically, the lens was only used on two of the photos posted in this thread and I haven't bothered to look up the actual place she posted these. The rest used a Canon 24-70 (purchased lens was a 70-200 2.8 IS II)

Wow. A $3,500 body, a $2,300 lens and a $2,500 lens and he's shooting in P mode. And he must not have bothered to even adjust the camera's choice of settings because 1/64 and ISO 250 makes no sense. Shooting wide open at the widest end of a zoom, too. This is a master class in how to do literally every single thing wrong.

They literally could have used a $300 compact camera and gotten the same results. In fact most compacts would give better results because they don't make such arbitrary choices.

If ever anybody wanted definitive proof that gear does not make a photographer and is no indication of quality, here it is.
