Don’t be afraid of what others (yes, even other lolitas) will think and just dress in a way that will make you feel confident and beautiful.
I am me; I am a loud and proud, plus size, over-the-top in every way lolita and no one is going to change that!
I hope that I can inspire at least one person to take the plunge into the frills. You won’t regret it! <3!

obis are literally supposed to make you look like a boxy pillar. not good for the lolita silhouette, which looks really unwieldy with a giant tube of cloth around the waist. corsets in this instance I feel are perfectly acceptable, especially if it was an underbust or a waist-cincher.
aside from that, white people in wa-lolita doesn't really rustle my jimmies unless it's hideous quality. lolita is based off victorian and rococo garments from the west so it doesn't seem like it should be a big deal if westerners want to wear clothing items based off Eastern traditional garments.

This photo always just makes me sad. I've known people who have lived in shitholes like this. My family was really poor when I was a kid, too, but luckily I had a decent mother who did her best to make things look as nice as she could.

There was some potential here but like the other poster said, they needed a petticoat. The wigs (at least, I'm hoping they're wigs) look ill fitted and "stringy" for lack of a better word.
They coorded well with the whole "twining" thing. Maybe if they lost 30 pounds, all their mistakes could be forgiven.

I think it would be fun to do it at someone's home. Where everyone wears horrible ita clothes and drinks hard liquor from children's tea set all while pretending to be as proper as possible. I did something similar to this in high school where we had a "Monty Python tea party" and dressed up like old ladies and had conversations about fucking the pool boy and how we were waiting for our husbands to die so we could inherit their money. Later on we got in a fist fight because two of us realized we had the same pool boy and he had told both of us we were the only one for him. It was wonderful and horrible all at once.

I say as long as you do it in the privacy of your own home and have people who don't take themselves too seriously, it can be a blast. But really, don't do that shit in public.

Try to make your colors match more. The brown of your shirt is too light. Try getting some brown or pink shoes. Maybe add some more fluff and something brown or pink.
