So, how many of you are going? Wondering if it will be an awkward gathering of 3 people or if I should buy my ticket right away.

I'm going to AR in lolita, but I'm not going to that Tea Party

I don't really like AP and consequently I don't own any

they're one of my least favourite brands, still going. just bought a more classic piece for it. there are no lolitas where i live so it will be fun! i will also be in cosplay the rest of the convention, but if there's a lolita meetup on sunday i'll probably attend.

>> No.6986649

I'm going, and my best friend just bought a ticket too.

>> No.6986794

You should really go if you have something to wear from AP or ask a friend to borrow a piece. You love fashion and you've always wanted to do something with a career in fashion. You should meet the designers even though AP is not one of your favorite brands. They want to meet Canada's best for the first time and you're indispensable to Canada.

At first, I didn't want go to the Atelier Pierrot/Chantilly Tea Party because tickets were $50 a piece and you have to buy a piece of brand from either one. I still went because I wanted to meet some old lolita friends and new ones from the Chicago and Midwest Area. A friend of mine convinced me to go and I no longer treated money as a barrier.

lol what a naive thing to say

What is she supposed to do, make money magically appear out of nowhere??

>> No.6987607

Just out of curiosity, do any of you lolis going to this live near Abbotsford? I've never been able to find anyone who lives within an hour of me who wears lolita.

I do have Angelic Pretty pieces, but the thing is that things are redonk tight for me right now and I've got Real Life things that I need to deal with first (student loans and I'm working on starting up a lolita wig styling business). The cost of a day pass with a tea party ticket would be around 100$, which is a lot for me these days.
As great an opportunity as it would be, there will be other chances. I'm planning on going balls to the wall for JetJ at PMX later this year.

Are there generally /cgl/ meetups at conventions or does everyone just go to the general lolita events/meetups and pretend they aren't seagulls?

Too bad I don't have a full coord yet, nor do I own AP

There's one at the cons, I've never gone though. Seems like it would be a bit too much.
