I used to have a tare panda pen and it wrote like WHOOAAAAAAAA the smoothest writing pen ever, I've never found it's equal in replacements, so I'm curious if her ink replacements might be similar? since they are japanese Pilot replacements (or do all ink replacements have japanese writing on them?)

Anyway, yeah, probably nowhere close to that dream of a pen I used to have (ink finally ran out) so I probably won't waste 50usd on it

Hello! I was here a few months ago with the Sailor Moon locket that was also a music box. I've cleaned it up since then and while there's still a tiny initial scrape on the front, the rest of the locket is in tact, working and just sitting on my desk.

I was wondering if it held it's value at all. I saw on Ebay that some where going or 500$ slight used but in the box. I don't have the box and again, it's slightly used so I was only going to ask about 300$ for it IF it kept it's value after these past months.

Sorry I disappeared when I did have a couple people interested. I'm afraid my father suffered a heart attack and I was taking care of him for a bit.

As a maker I have to wonder how these were done. I'm guessing an injection mold which is kinda hardcore. Gold is tough to emulate in plastic. To get the right balance of tone between this and the shiny ass merch toys I think the molds would haveto be coated in metallic casting powder which would add more to the price.

If I wanted something quality I would have the top piece laser cut. Then I would drill the top piece, tap the hole with threads and use a threaded stud to attach it to a steel barrel. You could fit a custom pen into it with a friction fit or adapt a retracting mechanism so the point comes out the bottom.

Instead of gold you could have it brass plated or cut or cast from solid brass.

I think it's a bit silly that she wants $50 for them. Yes, I don't doubt that they take a while to make--but the end product is just... not up to snuff.

All you need is a plastic injection molding press. Otherwise, most of that could be done in wood on a spinning lathe and the other things quickly forged. $50 is a bit much to show how hardcore you are.
