Haven't worn any of these yet, will do at my final con of the year next month.
Originally had a lot more cosplays and cons planned, but a paycheck cut has forced me to do rewears and cancel a lot of the convention plans I had for this year.
Glad that I have less stuff to stress about for the upcoming con though!

I'm in a huge cosplay block right now. I don't really know what to do, really. One cosplay I was supposed to finish never got finished, and I never wore that wig (and it's really nice too!)
I just miss lusting over wigs and crying over sewing.

I know how you feel. I missed one of the only two conventions this year, the other I don't know if I will have money to go to that one. I also won't have access to my sewing machine nor tub of fabric next year, so cosplaying will be very difficult.

Kyouko cosplay (and kigurumi version) is bought and Gadget was modified vintage clothes, but otherwise this has been a busy cosplay year so far for me (I'm just started sewing cosplays last year...)

Also Flandre is still in the making, but I will finish her and wear her to a convention in two weeks so I added her to the done ones

I limit myself to 7 plans maximum each year. 1-2 big plans & the rest with simpler plans. So yeah, one more slot to go (Might not even fill it up *laughs*)

There will be changes I suppose, depending on the partners I work with & stuff. But yeah, hopefully this is how it goes.

Recomending the helmet piece from a Darth Vader toy helmet for original Char. I grabbed one myself from a yard sale, has a thick band going down the middle so it needs to be dremeled out then put back together but it would be perfect once that's done.

That's how I've seen others do it, yeah. I'm just worried that 0079 Char is a little beyond my skill level right now since I've never done something involved like a helmet before. It's not the same as the mache TF2 weapons/accesories I've made. But, I don't want to "cop out" and just go with shades because that's the easy way out.

I don't expect to get recognised at all, which is pretty much what I'm going for.
Just an excuse to make myself look extra pretty and wear a completely ordinary seifuku that I would have no reason to ever take out of my wardrobe otherwise. If I really wanted to get noticed then I'd make myself bloody as well, or add a fake head, but I really can't be bothered. Not a big fan of getting my pictures taken, so I always do what I can to avoid photographers at cons - In this case, going for the "random school girl" look. :>

I threw together a gijinka for her- blue spots on blue dress, two-tone blue wig, blue kneesocks+flats, and the ears... I also had a post-it pad of pawprints that I gave out to people, and told them to give to Steve if they found him. Meanwhile, my Steve had a Handy Dandy Notebook and went around asking people "Have you seen my puppy, Blue?" and drawing down anything that anyone had stuck one of my pawprints on. It wasn't a terribly complex costume but we had a lot of fun!
