alright, making my gokaiger cosplay for gokai red, if it goes well I'll follow it up with kyoryugold from super sentai series. First things first. I've had a lot of hints but no solid advice which has worked out for me, I need ideas on how to make the helmet. My current idea is modifying a baseball helmet, but I want it to be really good. I take great pride in all cosplay I attempt. Ideas?

Sentai helmets are VERY difficult to make, Especially for Toku Cosplay beginners. If you want a good Gokai Red Helmet youre better off Buying it From Aniki or whoever

If you want to make your own I suggest sculpting it out, molding it and casting it in Fiberglass or smooth cast 300.
Pepakura and sentai helmets dont work out too well but it can be done.
If Youre REAAALLLYY wanting to do this all yourself youre in for hell, be ready.

I myself am trying to make this helmet with my own idea to it. Instead of two halves which have a visible seem and clip I want to make visor/jaw one part and the top/hat the second, hiding the seem in the ledge. I'm using an army pit hat as base and using sintra sheets to to the plates.

I have a Gokai Red helmet and honestly you're better off just getting it of of Anik due to the amount of work that's involved. I would honestly suggest going with a simpler design if you really must make a helmet the first time.

That being said, be careful about ordering from Aniki because his helmets are a one size fits all and it would be heart breaking to get a helmet and realize it doesn't fit.
