Ugh this is awful. The outfit is fine but it's unflattering and the dead doll look is so bad. She looks miserable, or like one of those girls who thinks she looks sexy when she actually doesn't.

You just have to look in the right place. Michael's has some pretty nice flowers if you look in the right places. Local craft shops sometimes carry nice stuff too. You can find some really amazing fake flowers at florists, but they carry a pretty serious price tag.

Unfortunately I'm not from the US so I'll have to be ordering online. But are these you suggest made of some fabric? Most regular craft store roses etc you can see clearly the texture of the stiff fabric its made of, which is offputting to me to ever buy them, hence my questioning here. The most realistic ones I've found are paper ones, but well, they're made of paper.
(I should of elaborated my situation, sorry)

Yeah, they're all fabric. Honestly, part of what makes the roses in the picture you like look so realistic is probably photoshop. If you bump up the saturation on photos like that, things with bright color lose a lot of their texture, so you can't see that they're made of fabric.

It's the March Hare. In the illustration, it's a sort of grey colour with pale gold trims. I assume the cosplayer wanted something more dramatic and used a solid black for that reason, then pumped up the contrast on the wig and trims (both are brighter)
