The last couple train cars haven't been removed yet and some of the rails need to be repaired after what happened. I'm guessing it's going to be at least a week before that track can be used again.

Seriously taking a grey hound from hear to Boston is supposed to be 5 hours but every time I take it, it is more like 8-10 and oh my god the people that get on it when it stops at the casinos.

Apparently there is an option where I can take a train to one stop then a shuttle to another and then maybe my train to boston, but I can't find times or details besides the announcement that there will be one.

The compressors only cost about 300. Its the labor to remove it (its a hyundai tiberon, the compressors pretty stuck in), and the coolant to refill it. And yes, If I could find a mechanic with a work station I bet I could get it done if I supply the parts and a case of beer, but sadly its all crazy scamming auto repair here.

I'm all for detailed and intricate costumes, but if your prop is so huge that it inconveniences you during travel, then you fucked up somewhere, either in making it too big when it shouldn't be, or not making it collapsible and travel friendly in the first place.

If you think your prop is too big for a train, then it's probably even too big for a car ride. I've seen it happen plenty of times. Props destroyed in transit because someone thought their 10 foot, 50 pound monstrosity was a good idea.

The place where we have the convention is at a university, and the lockers are empty. You can bring a lock and put your stuff in them. But you have to make sure you get your stuff before 9 or 10pm or else you'll be locked out of the building and shit out of luck.
