I managed to get a few FoxCherry pieces before she shut down for the second time

I am a little disappointed with the colors of the flowers, I thought they would be like bright gothic blue and a brighter red, but instead they're navy and wine. Oh well!

You can and WILL lose lots of weight but you have to stick to it and gradually increase once you're at your UGW (ultimate goal weight). i.e. it's been 7 months now since I've been done with mia and I've lost 60 pounds and it's STAYED off although I eat regularly now.

Thanks all, I'll try the spreadsheet approach. Apparently, in Canada, I have to pay for my credit score - the government is saying that free credit score websites are all scams?

I pay my rent and other necessities. I live off disability and student loans but at the end of the month I have no money left and little to show for it. When you're very sick, you get desperate (not that health care in canada isn't great, but many medications and therapies aren't covered) and buying clothes here and there on taobao transforms a crappy day into christmas morning.
I assumed every one else just had their shit together? Or have people in real life to help them along.

Free credit SCORE sites are scams. You can get your free credit REPORTS from the three credit bureaus but it won't give you your score. It's good to get the reports to see if there are any errors in your bills/loans and to get that fixed ASAP because that does affect your credit score when you apply for loans, buy a house, etc. since companies go to the bureaus to find out your credit score. If I remember correctly, you can pay to get your score from the bureaus.

I only use credit karma because it's decent at guesstimating your credit score but it isn't your true one. The learnvest site is a lot more useful in my opinion for everyday life in general (retirement, investments, banking, insurance, whatever). I find their emails useful for future stuff.

If you do the spreadsheet approach, really do it every time you buy stuff. Here's how I break it down:
I have x amount of money for the month. I divide it by percentage based off needs: essentials, savings, and fun money. I use one sheet for each of those topics and put the total on top and subtract every time I make a purchase. This keeps me on budget. Sometimes I divide fun money into subcategories like online ordering, shopping, cosplay, blah blah and go from there.

Sage because this isn't taobao anymore haha.

How do you guys estimate shipping on your large orders?
I can figure out the weight for clothing, but I've got other items that don't have weights listed. It's a bunch of random things like mugs, bowls, pillow cases, blankets, and purses, a dress, a kigurumi, a skirt, and a petticoat. I was estimating it around 5kg, but I really have no idea. I've only made small orders in the past.

for those who use Bhiner, did you notice that the conversion rate of the prices is always higher than when I calculate it with a currency converter? for instance an item that costs 10 yuan is 1.66 $ in Bhiner but with a currency converter it's 1.62 $

First yoybuy says that Pumpkin Cat hasn't replied to them, now Krad Lanrete hasn't replied to them either... I don't even know what to do with the money they've refunded back to me now.
I'm trying to finally start my loli wardrobe but they keep saying the shops aren't replying to them "for a long time" when my order has only spanned over a couple of days... then they refund my money back to me so I can't even chat with them about the item without putting the order in for the item again. /rant

Would it help if I told them I don't mind waiting for the seller to reply? The dress I ordered still has about 2 months until it's ready to be shipped

For example, I noticed while shopping today that regular hair accessories (clips, headbands, ect) are expensive where I live, whereas with Taoabo they're fairly cheap in comparison.

So I'm kind of a newfag to this whole "reserve" thing and I need some help. This dress came up for Shirley Deer and god damn, I'm in love. It says the reserve is 200 RMB.

So all I know is that you pay the reserve, then pay the rest? I've never pre-ordered before.

Also, I got a pretty nice haul of Taobao stuff, would anyone be interested in a review for it? I got two kigurumis and a bag from Gizmo, and a few accesories from Foxcherry.

And to answer your question, some shopping services (like Taobaoring in my experience) will just ask you to pay the total up front instead of splitting it into two payments. At least that's what they did when I preordered from Krad Lanrete. But it could be different with other shops or shopping services. I'm not too experienced and have only preordered once.

Whelp since FoxCherry is down for a while and I've now gone through the entire store spreadsheets, does anyone know of any store that has hats like pic related (straw hat with lace? Hopefully not too expensive but I don't mind spending a bit. Just all the lolita-centric shops are letting me down so hoping I could find something loli-able at least.

Quality is pretty good, it's fully lined and made out of a suede type material so it's pretty heavy. It's really well sewn, although the buttons are in need of redoing, one came off as I was trying it on (Not a huge deal since I'll probably replace them anyway). The lace is soft and really pretty

So TaobaoTrends is telling me that Dream of Lolita is being a butt about a blouse I ordered about a month ago, saying the first one got "lost" in the post and they won't even respond to their emails about reordering another one. Is this normal for Dream of Lolita, or is something else weird maybe going on here? Everything else about my order looks great (I've gotten my confirmation photos and everything), I'm just a little miffed about the blouse because it was the only short-sleeved one I ordered and I was planning on wearing it to A-Kon with a 3/4-sleeved cardigan.
(By the way, if anyone has any non-taobao links for short-sleeved lolita blouses with peter pan collars that would ship quickly I will be eternally greatful, lol. I'd rather not pay an arm and a butt for one from Etsy, but I might just do it so I'll have something. )

Usually elaborate stocking designs, light clothing, handbags (despite their weight) and as another anon said "kawaii uguu shit" are good things, San-X goodies, stationary are all good options.

Shoes are something I'm on the fence about, there aren't many good cheap shoe-stores locally where I live and taobao does have cheap shoes but the shipping can make it not-so-worth it and also many cheap taobao shoes are not the best quality. The only upside to it is that taobao often has some pretty funky unique shoe styles

Ahh here's the worn picture for the cosplay I got from Gekkou. I got L because I'm tall for Chinese standards, so it's basically big on me everywhere else, but that's easily fixed. I sorta wish I had bought an M.

For reference I'm 5'7" @ ~95lbs right now.

I've known many 'but it's my metabolism!' people, and I've never seen a case where that was actually true. If you've ever seen Super size vs Super skinny, it's that sort of thing(minus some of the people on it that have issues with food and signs of an ED because you're more likely than not what I call a lazy eater).
If you eat consistantly, have a good high protien and high calorie meals and snacks(not mc donalds)/meal plan after a few months, you will definitely gain weight. I could go on in more detail, but thread.

It's also a bit of 'forcing' yourself to eat more than normal, your body gets used to it after a few days.
Been all kinds of low/under weight, mainly due to thing like loss of appetite or I was "too busy to be hungry" kind of thing.
Also set an alarm for snacks so you remember to eat something.
If you do it like that, you should start to see something within a month or two(the initial weight would just be bloating/water weight)

Don't force yourself to the point where you will throw up, but to the point where you think you're more than full. After about a week or two it should get to the point where your appetite is sky high(you can look for other methods to increase your appetite as well)

But yeah, eat calorie and nutrient dense food, or add to it with protein powder. Slowly but surely, you will gain weight. If you do it right, you should get to a normal, but low weight after 6-8 months, but up to a year and a half depending on how consistent you are.
the goal would be to gain at least 3lbs a month.

One person got told from Qutieland that it'll take 55 days, excluding holidays and weekends. At first I thought it's because she ordered a custom one but she then commented that it was standard sized so I'm not sure about that. Clobba says 25-45 days I think? I've seen those as well but in most of those pictures the wigs look really shiny and not at all like real hair (especially with things like oddly colored or gradient wigs) like those from this store which is why I'm willing to pay more to get something a little better.

As far as the MC thing goes, it kinda grew on me as time went on, and it was a more classic piece to add to my wardrobe. Besides, if I grow to hate it it'll be a pretty easy sell.

I agree with the matter of taste thing. MC is one of the few JSKs I like. I didn't really get all the hype over DDC (or really anything Angelic Pretty).

I need some help finding cotton wrist wraps that are often used for crossfit. I keep finding elastic ones, and I want ones that are cotton and tie on instead of elastic.

I have tried searching wrist wrap, wrist wrap cotton, but I can't seem to get anything that isn't elasticized with Velcro.

Mine is really bad. I visited my friend and she gave me a necklace.
