How much is too much for a cosplay commission?
Emailed a few people about this cosplay and the lowest amount I have received back is 800$...

How much have you paid for a commission or charged someone?

I generally charge between $250-$1500 depending on how complex the costume is.

I dunno about $800 for that since there's so few pieces, but you do have to take the distressing job into consideration.

Most I've paid at this point for a commission was $350, but it wasn't for me. I got an old family friend a custom Nerf-shooting bolter gun (painted up in Imperial Fist colours) as a birthday gift a few years ago. The look on his face when he pulled it out of the bag was more than worth it.
