Bare feet at cons?

Not completely barefoot, that's kind of gross and out of the question. Most places require you to have some form of foot protection on, but there's a handful of characters people cosplay that don't wear shoes.

At Katsucon, I was talking to some staff and they said you could go so far as to wearing socks with a sole insert on the inside and you're solid as far as policies go, but I failed to ask him about something like dance paws. They only cover half of your feet, but I've seen people talk about them as ideas for barefoot cosplay.

I like the idea of dance paws myself, good for hall photos, at least.

Opinions/discussion/alternatives?

I did Luna's human form from Sailor Moon about a year ago, and I just wore a pair of black mules. They were easy enough to walk in and I could just kick them off for photos indoors.

I've also seen a few Jack Frost cosplayers wear Uggs that they've painted and embellished to match the rest of the costume, and Rapunzels at Disneyworld look like they wear ballet flats or sandals that match the dress.

IMO it's more important to protect your feet from the elements and unhygienic things on the ground, so something you can slip off and put aside for photos is best.

I seriously so not understand the people that go through such great links to fake bare feet with insoles or craft foam taped to their feet or dance pads. They offer no protection for the feet, which is the reason most cons make you wear shoes in the first place. Not to mention how gross it is to walk around all day in a public venue with essentially bare feet.

You're either trying way too hard to whiteknight or have no idea how he actually operates.

The number of models who consent are limited. He's prone to taking creepershots, and because his agenda revolves around a sexual fetish, the consent he gets from models rarely matters because of how many of them are underage.

No one's going to say shit about the willing adults who work with him, nor does his weight have anything to do with his attitude problem.

Try harder next time pls.

His weight has little to do with it. The fact that he's openly taking foot fetish/up the skirt photos of this girl in a public park without even looking into his view finder or having his screen display what he's taking a picture of, therefore ignoring composition completely is what is wrong with this picture.
