Okay /cgl/ I was attending cons ever since 2007, from coast to coast. I love it. I cosplay every year too.

Now to my point of this post, WHAT THE FUCK IS HOMESTUCK TROLLS?! I swear I am running into 20-30 of these freaks in a row or at a panel.
They ruin hotel rooms and are all underage edgy scene kids.

Is there a way we ...we could just kill them?

i was working with a company trying to get some big names from the Avengers movie to come to Montreal for a con and the Hotel said no because "those gray faced kids caused $30,000 in damages last time we had a convention here" I was given the police report. Homeshit won't be around forever (hopefully), and I'm pretty sure these guys will move along to another fandom one day, just like they did with Hetalia, Naruto, Death Note, etc.

For now we can just pray that conventions will start banning them. I mean, if it causes so much damage at cons that they're getting kicked out of convention centers/having to raise con prices, they'd be crazy not to ban them.

The Homestuck fanbase is very diverse, there are a lot of older fans and the reason that a lot of young kids got into it baffles me. Shipping, probably, which is a thing I never really "got"
But, yeah, a lot of underage scene kid types are probably going to move on from it, especially with this long hiatus now and the bizarrely short attention span people have. I think that a lot of the REALLY bad fans that you're complaining about here are probably going to fall back into Hetalia now that I think that's coming back (I think it is at least? I was never into it...).
Anyways, I don't care what you think about the comic itself, people have different tastes and whatever, but, I just want to let you know that all the older fans I've met (all my friends that are into it are at least legal adults, mostly early 20s) find the hotel room just obnoxious as you guys- plus, we have the unfortunate experience of being lumped in with them...

i'm a homestuck and i hate 98% of my fandom. even when i'm cosplaying as a homestuck character, i have to avoid most of them like the plague. one of the worst parts is the swearing. i swear a lot in private, but when i go out, i cut that shit out because i try to be considerate of others. i recently made the mistake of going to a homestuck meet at a zoo on a free admission day. those people were swearing constantly and loudly, with children everywhere. it got to the point where i had to call them all over to tell them to stop. the worst part is, a good number of them were my age or older. so much shame.
