Wow, I really like this makeup.

I just finished Fatal Frame III so I'm glad to see a horror thread up. There were a lot of really cool ghosts in that one but knowing I'll never be moe or tiny enough to be a murderous Shrine Maiden makes me sad.

I'd cosplay an Ito work but the only two characters who are actually recognizable are Souichi and Tomie (possibly Uzumaki if you cosplay anyone physically affected by the spirals, but I don't have that kind of skill to pull that off).

I definately agree. Cosplay Junji Ito works is more of a "do-this-for-fun" rather than "oh-people-will-recognize-me" thing. As long as you look creepy/noticeable enough people will flock to your cosplay. I've taken so many pictures of cool costumes that I had no idea what the concept is/who the character is.

I see cosplay of Junji's work to be skill test more than anything else. Wither its photoshop, costume skills, or makeup, cosplaying Ito's work takes a lot of skill.
