I work for my local DVSAT and even I'm a little dubious of the whole "slut walk" thing. I completely agree with the sentiment, but I'm not convinced that this is a good way, or even an effective way, to go about it.

That said, if it helps the healing process of any of my clients to participate in something like this, I'm all for it simply for that reason.

People need to realize that you're not appealing to your friends, you're appealing to people who do not agree with you. You are trying to convince people to change their minds.
