Long story short, DDC sold out within minutes in Japan and online. Poor planning on AP's end led to VERY little supply for the large demand. Many dresses went to scalpers. Many loli were pissed and some wanted to boycott AP. AP saw this, apologized, and is going to do a re-release.

How minty is the sax colorway? I've heard it's more on the mint side, but I ended up going for lavender since I don't own anything that color at the moment.

Did any other people receive refunds from the restock last night? I haven't gotten any and my paypal looks the same after my spending spree getting everything to go in the set (because I don't care if it's all made to match, motherfucking ponies!). I guess I'm just paranoid that I'm going to get all this stuff, get refunded for the most important part and then have to wait until September to wear it all together. Lolita first world problems.

I got the ivory skirt and I love it. For reference: I am usually a classic loli and am not a fan of pink but somehow on this print I like it.
You will have to embrace the pinkness of it, but for me it was worth jumping that hurdle for this print.
My only concern is the length. I usually like my loli longer and it is soooooo short. I will make an attempt at making an underskirt for it.

I am only 5 foot six. With a petticoat it comes a good 4 inches above my knee. On some taller lolis (Cadney and Faunkegin are known for this look) it looks really cute but I wear heels rather than flats or tea parties with my dresses so without an underskirt it looks a little trashy.

This is just for length- so it is NOT a coord. Not even close.
I tried to take the pic as far back as possible so the camera angle was as true as I could make it. The closer to the mirror I took the pic the longer the skirt appeared due to the camera angle.

Sax is actually the only one I'd consider getting.
I really love the actual design of the (non-tiered) jsk, with the waistband and the crossing straps in the back, as well as the way the stripes look like they gradate from blue to pink, but the ponies don't do it for me. I don't mind them, but seeing as they're what's making people love this dress so much, I'd feel weird buying it since that's the part I'm super "meh" about.

I don't think the price of the dress will deflate THAT much on the secondhand market. Everyone isn't going to try selling their dresses around the same time and it's a popular print. My guess is that it'll stay at retail value for a while or go just a little below.

I got you anon. AP's sax colors tend to vary pretty widely so I took a pic with my sax tea parties. As you can see, the color of the dress is a little less saturated with more of a greenish tinge, but it is not offensively mismatched to the shoes and they could be worn together. However, it's a BAD color match with my sax AP bolero (not shown; sorry). I just won't wear them together.

Odd request but does anybody out there have the ivory AND an Innocent World cream/kinari blouse? I've got an odd sort of pale skintone (weird undertones) and IW ivory/cream/kinari/wtf is that even is the best of the cream colors from lolita brands for my skintone, so if it isn't too different then I'm going to have to buy myself a carnival dress.

It's entirely possible. I lost roughly 3 1/2 inches off my bust and about 30lbs since October just from being mindful about my calorie intake. Usually for me, every 7lbs is an inch lost (or 3cm) but it may be different for you.

For anything, you want to be below the max measurement a good 3-4 cm max, if not more. Also ignore the waist measurement and consider it as your underbust measurement. Measure that inhaling deeply, and if that fits within the listed max waist measurement with some room to spare, you are good to go.

Generally, most full-back shirred stuff fits best at or below 104-102 cm, despite it being listed higher. There's a few things I owned at 109cm that were really, really snug. Once I got to 104 and under that the fit was much better. I'm at 102 now and my goal is 96cm.

Also the straps on the tiered version are the kind where the button attaches to a button loop on the back as opposed to two holes on the strap with a button on the back to adjust it. I find that to be less friendly to big boobs than adjustable straps. So it tends to sit like a babydoll rather than adjusting it to sit between your underbust and waist or at least close to it.

If you have 3-4 inches to go, I'd say it'd be okay to use it as a weight loss motivator if that's what you'd like to do, but you need to make sure you're really determined to lose weight, otherwise it'll just sit in the closet taunting you and you'll feel dissapointed.

Well, it's good to be debt free. I'm okay with debt as long as you pay it off properly and people should be careful not to jump in too deep without a way out. My credit card has a fairly low 9% APR so it barely goes up a month. To put it in perspective if I were to charge $1000 and pay off $100 a month I'd end up with a total of $43 extra paid to interest while still having whatever it was I bought in the first place immediately.

One of the simpler ways to work it is just to pay things off in full during the grace period. Depending on the statement dates that equals 2 weeks to a month and a half or so where if you pay it goes interest free.

I am torn between the tiered and the normal jsk. I am partial to quarter shirred dresses due to the side zip but I am in love with the tiered jsk version. Anyone have tips on how to get out of fully back shirred dresses? I feel exhausted after getting out of my dress and have to struggle with it for at least 10 minutes and I feel as if I'm ripping all the seams and going to shred it to pieces, Hulk style.
I'm chubby with an 88 cm bust and 70 cm waist. I am also on a diet and hope that I will have an easier time getting out of those dresses once I achieve my goal weight. Or do slim lolitas also have an issue with fully back shirred pieces?

And now DDC is going to become Fruits Parlor: no longer special because everybody and their dog has something from it. I'd be okay if AP was re-releasing a limited number, even if it was releasing another run the same size at the first, but I hate the idea of 'as many as you like in any color you like.' I really hope there is a final cut-off number, but there probably isn't. AP is going to make a packet of money, but it's also shooting itself in the foot by making this print un-exclusive. When the next big print comes out, the girls who would normally line up will avoid it because they'll figure that it will be re-released and won't be exclusive, so they won't want it. As those are the type of girls who are most likely to be hardcore AP-fans, and thus AP's target audience, they are just hurting themselves.

The thing is though... Scalpers are not new to AP. People were complaining about them as recently as the Choco Rosette re-release. They've known about them for years, and have allowed people to scalp for years. It's all the same money. The only thing is this time around, the customers were seriously not gonna take it anymore. except the main difference between those releases is the fact that DDC got months of publicity. Gloria we knew what... two weeks before release and not like a spread in a magazine or anything. It was just a little image on the japanese site and a little snap in the corner of a page. So people were upset and the quantity was even more limited (most stores only had 1-2 pieces per style). But it was such a smaller number of people getting upset about it that they didnt bother to do a re-release like this. Ok, I only have like 50 in my expendable lolita and hobbies budget for the next two weeks. I have a convention at the end of may.
I got the day dream carnival jsk I wanted, and the tights, but I do not have the head bow.
Having the matching head bow would be a plus in the long run, but I don't need it right away and even if I do reserve it, it will not be ready for any events I have planned.
Should I wait and see if I can get it second hand latter?
I need other stuff to get ready for the convention, need a new wig, and some fabric to make a cute bolero out of. I could live with out the wig, I do have hair, but I want a hime bump for the outfit I have in mind and my hair just can't do that to my liking because of how short it is.
Or I could get fabric for my homura cosplay. But I kind of don't want to spend more money on that right now...I have her school outfit coming from taobao with the shoes and the wig just encase I ran out of sewing time(My job sometimes decides that 12 hour shifts are normal and should be done regularly and my free time disappears so I wanted to be prepared for the worst) and...at this point I don't think I want to through more money at it, and want to get my lolita coordinates ready.
But if I wait to get the fabric I may not have enough time to sew it.

Depends. If you have a super tiny ribcage and very small chested, and smaller than the average japanese girl, probably. But it seems to fit fine from what I've seen on your usual-sized asian girls. Not seen too many girls of other races as well as different sizes in the tiered version yet. Generally, it just means that it can stretch to accomodate a larger size (about a US L-XL roughly), but it can fit on a smaller size fine (US S-M) fine unstretched. If you are close to the minimum measurements or below, it might not work, but it's easier to get something taken in than let out. Unfortunately, I have huge tits to contend with and mine's not here yet, so I can't really answer in greater detail for you. If you post your measurements, someone should be able to help.

I paid for the goods and the shipping, and there's paypal receipts of both, but when I go into my ap account to check my order status it says that the payment for shipping has been paid but the payment for goods says 'unpaid.' Considering that's wrong, will this go away? Sorry I've never ordered from them before.
