My order with tbr placed on 2/23/13.

I was waiting for my wig from Alpaca that was on preorder which caused the delay. I know tbr had issues with delays but my order was fine (probably because it was a shitty small order).

Next post will be the pics they took.

More info from Yoybuy and their alt shipping methods...

Dear Customer,

Really sorry to reply you late.

We just got new information from the shipping company. You can track the parcel online when it is transporting in China. For the special line, once they found the products as imitations, they will destroy it without return.
So paying insurance won't help you a lot.
Generally speaking, it is very safe to pass the customs.
In addition, for the special line, it is still at the stage of test.
So nobody has received the parcel yet.

Could you please tell us your decision?
Then we can send your parcel out as soon as possible.

Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Jocelyn

I'm asking next if it's just the imitation that will be destroyed or the entire thing.
At this point I think I'll just split my package up and have whatever counts as imitation held.

>> No.6722742

>>6722737
Oh, for the "In addition... yet" part, that was referring to me asking if anyone had chosen the special line right away and gotten their parcel yet, I'm still questioning the reliability. Don't wanna confuse anyone.

"zui:These are not brand, customs inspection mainly clothing and shoes, and we heard, when they found that they are just a tax increase, rather than destroy the parcel. In addition, currently we just heard that the United States customs check, lasts about a month time"

Serious question: Should I buy this? I'm VERY picky with my money, and I only buy things I KNOW I will wear, because I've had so many regrets with Taobao and things being way too short.

I dress in sweet lolita, however I want to buy more toned down yet girly/frilly things like hime or gyaru - or whatever this is called.

ISSUE: I'm 5 foot 7... I'm 120 pounds and quite thin. Even with lolita dresses, often times I have sleeves ending up above my wrist and the whole outfit ends up looking like it's too small, as if it's for a little kid since I'm so tall (I'm Asian - hence why I'm calling myself tall).

Also, links to items that would be cheaper? These two items total from bobon21.taobao.com are 200yuan/$32 just about. I know look up lizlisa and bah but it's so hard to find good coordinates!

Please answer and tell me what you'd think this would look like on a girl 5 foot 7...

This is my 7th order with Taobaoring and I've never had this happen in my life from ordering online, especially since this was a very small order compared to the rest of mine. There were a ton of small trinkets that were only 1yuan each and some deco items. But all of my clothes are gone. They were generic clothes - very cheap and too many to post. I don't believe any of them were replica. They weren't gyaru at all (lizlisa, vivi, vivianne westwood, etc).

I don't believe the notice SS put up were important in any way because that could happen at any time. It's happened to me before, and this package of mine was shipped out to me BEFORE the message, and therefore left China before the SS's message. I want to know why all of my clothes were removed though, because none of them were replicas.

>>6725112
In the past, I had a lot of Lizlisa (not all) and Vivienne Westwood/Vivi items confiscated. Mostly shoes, which didn't have tags but they did have the imprint on the sole which read the name of the brand. Not a single clothing piece I had was a replica. The only replica I had was a lizlisa bag which surprisingly, they didn't confiscate lol.

Alright guys. I'm not very active on 4chan, but I am an addicted Taobao shopper. Well... Today was the first day of spring break from me. I'm home for the week instead of at my dorm, and my mom picked up a package from USPS that I ordered from Taobao using Taobaoring.
WELL...
When I received the package, it was entirely beat up and dirty as fuck. I was thinking, "What the fuck is going on?" I looked up, saw a bunch of other pissed off people, and looked into the archives for more information. I could not believe what was going on, but after opening my package (which was VERY easy due to all of the holes and loose taping); half of my items were missing. What's worse is, half of my LOLITA items were missing. ALL OF MY ANTAINA SHOES ARE FUCKING MISSING! There is no explanation for this. I come back after a long winter term from university to a broken Taobao order. I know it's late, and no one's probably up at this hour, but I just wanted to write about my experience. I have heard of China's customs confiscating items and I've been aware for many years (father works in customs here in California) much about international custom policies - especially China, because many problems begin there. I just never expected my beloved package to have items confiscated. So I will post my order (pic attached) and then in a separate note, post a picture of my beat up package along with that tape. Oh God, I am crying so hard as I type this. I just can't believe it... I don't think I ever want to buy from Taobao again... That's $200+ lost...

On the strange note, they DIDN'T take away my DoL Milky Planet replica... They did take my Chess Story Starry Night Angel though... WTF! Wow... I just... I don't know what to do. Please, tomorrow, anyone who's had this problem or just anyone at all respond to me. I really don't know what to do. I know it's not Taobaoring's fault, and I've ordered with them all of the time, however this has just never happened to me.

Dear Anon,
Sometimes, the customs office will open some parcels to check if there are items which are prohibit shipping, just for secure reasons. You know there are so many parcels arrive at customs everyday, and the officers may check several parcels at the same time, so maybe some items might be mixed, not on purpose, but this kind of mix can happen, especially for some very small items. Do you remember the girl from past threads a few months ago who lost the strawberry chocolate dress through customs? That wasn't a replica and it was lost or confiscated. Nobody knows. >Nothing she bought was illegal
Lol tell that to the anti-replica brandwhores over at EGL. Starry Night Angel wasn't a replica, but as I've said, it may have been lost.

The Muchacha bags are replica of the authentic, and maybe those niche cat-faced/animal-printed bags are becoming popular enough to be considered a bigger brand? I mean, seeing as Muchacha is Japanese based and Chinese people hate Japanese people...

If AP or IW didn't copyright any of their prints, it'd be okay for me to steal their designs and use them freely.

I predict that China will go along with it for a while (and I'm sure employees of the customs departments will use it as an excuse to pilfer items from orders to resell, claiming they were branded knock-offs) but it will eventually either go away due to the fact that it's too hard to enforce thoroughly or because customs departments will get lazy about checking every package for knock-offs with anything other than regular x-ray.

They're making a lot of changes to the mail system in the coming months (increasing postal rates, stopping delivery on Saturdays, and so on), too. They also really enjoy dictating what other nations postal services do with packages coming into the US in terms of customs and fees. Look what they did with the surcharge I mentioned before. Uh you don'twant those... Believe me... You're better wearing shoes made of duct tape.
I have those shoes and the bows both fell off and I hot glued them. Not the issue because they didn't look sturdy, but the sole itself was so weak and chipped apart. On the right shoe ,the sole just FELL OFF because it was so shitty. I bought it from that same place too. They're just resellers, and those shoes are veerywhere. The quality isn't durable in anyway though. Also, the brown part is very cheap and shiny looking irl. It scuffs with black very easily!

I'm so sorry to all the people who had their clothes taken out of their packages. I just received my first taobao order yesterday and it was basically a bunch of liz lisa stuff since I wanted to try out that style. I told my ss to cut the tags off if it said liz lisa on anything and she cut it off a bag, some clothes, and there was a liz lisa tag on one of the shoes. I told her to wrap the shoes in tissue paper. None of my items were confiscated and I was so scared I would have the repacking tape on it but it arrived no problem.

I want to order more clothes from taobao, but now I'm just kind of scared in general if people are saying non brand, non replicas are getting confiscated... I wanted some more liz lisa shoes but hmm.. risky.

They look kinda like these R-series shoes, but with less heel. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.3.w603157013.37.opKUX2&id=10490743784&

could you do a review, anon? liz lisa is always relevant, and i've noticed that stores like angelcat and vividxh didn't sew tags to their replicas anyways

You can easily make something like that yourself, if you look closely you can see that it's just pinned and nothing special

Pretty much what >>6728108 said. You can tease a tiny bit of hair, make it into a small ball, then spray, smooth and pin some hair over it to make that style. Look at the other pics of the same wig style in the other colours and you can see it's really nothing difficult to do.

On a similar note, but why did they use black pins? They look terrible.

Another pic of the back, you can see there's something under the 'ears' to keep them that shape.

If you still want some, I bought mine from here: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=17363759979&spm=2014.12443903.0.0
Strangely, there are 2 styles of shoes in that listing. So make sure you pick the right one.

Anyone know what's going on with Infanta? I tried to order their snow white JSK, some bloomers and the matching headbow through Pruany and they refunded me saying " seller, Time limit for a project full, please change the seller"

It says the dress is in stock still, either way I don't know why they'd refund the bloomers as well.

Any ideas?

Do you think they took one because it was brand? I want to order that same bag, but now I'm scared...

Hello /cgl/, /vr/min here again. I discovered the issue as to why my payment wouldn't go through, which was my bank declining the transaction. As of now, I'm trying to get through to them about it with all my information, but I have a question to ask.

Should I buy my items from Yoybuy or from Y? Reason I ask is because, while they sell the same items, their prices are vastly different, and would prefer not to pay more if I don't need to. Here's the examples, if you don't believe me.

Yoybuy (total $22.76):

http://www.yoybuy.com/en/show/21981504110/
http://www.yoybuy.com/en/show/1030811684/

BuyChina (total $41.00)

http://www.buychina.com/items/sundance-kid-tv-game-nes-fc-8-bit-machine-game-cartridge-245-one-does-not-repeat-zuwvvprriio

Thank you in advance!

Ain't that convenient, the customer service for the bank I called don't have anyone that can help me, so I'll have to sort this through IRL. Still though, my YoyBuy vs BuyChina question still is valid, so I'd like to know for sure whether I should spend more than I have to. Thanks again!

Old thread but I still want to add an English Taobao agent called Superbuy ( https://www.superbuy.com ) through which I bought a pile of cheap, quality electronic devices from Taobao. Superbuy has no service fee, and the customer servers are professional and I can well communicate with them. To be honest, Superbuy customer service is one of the few that do not make me mad. On a negative side, Superbuy’s shipping fee is relatively expensive especially the China domestic delivery rate, and if they can reduce their shipping rate, I believe Superbuy will be the best Taobao agent in the market.
