Overall, the I think the look and 'story' of the collage is quite cute! You've managed to convey a story pretty well, even though the words are in japanese. I feel like the schoolgirl uniform photos are quite strong, the first one is especially dramatic, although the bottom one could be cropped more assertively. On the other hand, the date photos are a bit generic, even though the outfit is pretty well co-ordinated, and the bottom one is underexposed, while the top ones are overexposed. Try playing around with the shadows/highlights balance (Windows 7 image gallery/editor has it for sure) and see if you can make your dress, skin, and the pillar less glaring.

Also, I the more I look at it, the more I feel like the collage is missing something 'moe' exactly... I think viewer engagement is important, and although I can feel a story, there's not a huge sense of... character? Maybe what I'd like to see is more of you looking into the camera? It could be just me. It's still a great-looking collage, though.

I'm on a Mac, so I don't have that editor, I use pixlr online usually. I might see if my friend who took the photos has some time to edit those for me, but he just started a new job and I don't particularly want to bother him for something so petty as a /cgl/ contest...I messed around a bit with the levels and contrast, but I'll see if I can do a bit more myself.

I will admit capturing the ..."moe essence" was difficult for me, largely because I've never been much of an anime person. I've read plenty of manga in my lifetime, but it's obviously a lot different of a portrayal in a drawing versus an animation. That was probably my biggest worry - that the "moe" wasn't strong enough.
Unfortunately, taking more photos is definitely not an option, because of my photographer's schedule + last week was spring break, so I had plenty of free time and next to none now! But I really like to hear the feedback nonetheless.

And since the thread 404d and I happened to upload my collage right before it went into auto-sage, here it is again.
I need to peruse the archives for the "story", because I was stupid and didn't copy it anywhere else.

Yeah, me too. But the pic directly under it, with the school uniform, is kind of what I was expecting.

They are all really good, though, and the dress and hairstyle and just everything about the other ones are also really nice and terribly cute. The story makes it even cuter since it gives a background.

school outfits aren't the key to moe, they only help to make whoever wears them look more youthful, there are other moe outfits that you could do.
imo what makes or breaks an outfit is the face, you can wear anything you want but an un-moe face could potentially ruin it.
I know that it sounds bad but these are photos so the inner beauty thing can't really be applied,

A story is a nice addition, it gives more life to the collage than just "generic moe posing"
as long as the story is somewhat interesting tho, but as I can see there isn't really much space for nicely developed storyline..

The thing about moe is that it differs from person to person. Something may be moe to one girl, may not necessarily be moe to another.

this applies to beauty in general, and that's why ratings based on attractiveness shouldn't be considered equal for everyone.

I took some photos last night but I'm not really sure if I like the result, I feel like it look more lolicon than moe.

Originally I was going to do a school look then a magical girl look but I'm not sure about that any more. I can't go outside for long right now due to the weather and my legs cramping up so my locations are pretty limited to inside my house.

I'm tempted to change the school girl look to pyjamas as it seems more appropriate if I'm just going to be in my bedroom, but then I'm not sure what to do with the location for the magical girl look.

Any tips would be appreciated! I think I should try and contour my face/nose but anything more than basic make-up looks ridiculous on me.

Please don't get your information from the troll. I have been retired from modeling for 5+ years. I only use my life long experience for judging. I am now married with a family and I wish to keep my life private for those obvious reasons like protecting them from malicious people on this board that would hate me for no reason. (As you can see already) I made my name up on the stop in the threads, so anons knew which anon I was.

I created this contests in response to the failed ones that kept popping up. It was lawless and girls often fought over who was using PS etc. I went out and purchased winnings, then put together some strict rules and ask the ladies of /cgl/ if they wanted to give this contest thing a go. This is our second contest, so obviously they enjoyed the first one and everything turned out fine. We had no trolls, surprisingly none of the girls weren't fighting with each other and it turned out to be super fun.

I did post up a timestamped picture of myself in the beginning on FB, which I took down afterwards. I don't have an internet persona, I don't have a personal tumblr or anything like that. I just never got into that stuff. I never claimed to be a model from Korea, I just live here. I'm a pretty humble person, anon. I don't go around flaunting myself.

I just got in 10 min ago and posted some very exciting updates on the Fanpage. Thank you for the support and I will ask that everyone just ignore the troll, I promise to practice what I preach and carrying on with the thread regardless of Flans attempts to derail a good thing.

Implying this would be proof any way. I have a firm belief that if she does live there, CB does in fact write and speak Korean if only for the fact that the written part is ridiculously easy to memorize and learn. I taught it myself over 2 years ago in the space of a month or two and am still able to read the characters.
