Well, originally I didn't think it would be too much of a problem, since yeah, you wouldn't know those brands unless you were into popkei or lolita, but on the shipping page I can't choose DSL because it says "disallow imitation". I don't have any other brand items in my order... idk, it gave me a worry.

I received my order around Christmas time, and I placed it in November (SAL). I bought mostly "normal" clothes and a few lolita items. My lolita coats that were clearly PINK in the photo came to me as orange. BODYLINE does the same shit with their pink, it ends up looking orange. Pink is my favorite color, and I can't stand orange. Let alone orange isn't a great color for lolita - at least the shade that Chinese companies keep fucking up on.

It's not the SS's fault. They handle hundreds of orders every month. I remember Taobaoring (I'm the girl who is very close with Sidney from Taobaoring) told me that they once handled over 200 orders in one month.

I understand, it's frustrating - but with how many orders they handle and the size of the warhouse they have, mistakes can happen. Yes, it's unfair that you have to pay shipping again after THEIR mistake, but there's nothing you can do about it. They don't care for good feedback like those nice Chinese wholesalers on eBay do - those guys over there ONLY care about your feedback!

I know it's not fair, and I had to go through the same shit when Taobaoring left out an item from their warehouse. I know Taobaoring takes photos RIGHT BEFORE packing, so there's no way this could happen - but it's because I had them combine 5 orders (last order only had one dress, it was a pre-order).

I know how you feel. It sucks, and there's nothing you can do about it.

That is really fucking expensive. That's why I never chose Bhiner - EMS shipping.

Uh, it IS the shopping service's fault. They forgot. They are making them pay shipping again. And saying 'oh well they handle x amount of orders' is fucking moronic because that's THEIR JOB.

And I don't get your last comment 'the only care about your feedback' obviously they don't? And shouldn't they care just as much as chinese eBay sellers since they are a business trying to make money from repeat customers?

Your comment is one of the most idiotic and naive things I've read today.

>> No.6710654

I meant that it IS their fault (sorry).

I'm saying eBay's Chinese wholesalers (the people who sell massive shit for $0.99 free shipping) care very much about your feedback, at least the people I've dealt with. They always re-send items on their part or refund me $5 (even those the item was just $0.99).

When I made my first order with Taobaospree, which I later regretted because there was no SAL offered by them (this was in 2010), I asked them - what about those Chinese people from eBay? How can they sell shit with free shipping, because I'm sure shipping, no matter how small the item is - since it's coming from China is going to be MORE than $0.99. Lucy or whoever the fuck told me she didn't know what I was talking about.

>> No.6710670

>>6710645
>>6710654
Agree that it was their fault and they should pay for the shipping to the customer, but feel that this should be clarified.

If the items didn't make it into that box on the first go, I highly doubt that they paid shipping for them already. They don't weigh everything separately and stick them in a box, they stick everything in the box, then weigh it. Unfortunately, this means that without the benefit of the larger order, the items that got left out are going to cost stupid amounts to ship.

Get your GO organiser to argue the point with them, though. They screwed up and those items no longer have the benefit of dividing their weight through a larger shipment. They should deal with that mistake themselves.

This was my shittiest and smallest order by far, so it's really not impressive. However I am pissed off I didn't know SAL was charged per 1kg, so I ended up paying for a full extra kg.

I ended up making my fingers blister from stabbing the box open with Friskar school scissors.

Anyways, the dress I was missing was White Moon lolita's Strawberry Chocolate. I had to re-buy it (White Moon did a special custom case for me thanks to Taobaoring explaining the situation with China's customs). Since White Moon is really fucking slow with shipping (I actually ordered the dress in early January/late December), I didn't get it until now. I had to make another order (THIS ONE) because of White Moon Lolita. I wasn't going to pay shipping for ONE dress.

My order was 3 cosplay wigs, Vocaloid headphones, Chii ears (I know I can make that shit), some lolita purses (the candy purse was second hand) and Starry Night Angel's headbows and the lavender version. I bought the dark blue version in my last order, but was really pissed off when the headbows were sold out at that time, so I had to order from the shop (waste of domestic shipping) just for the headbow. Then I figured I'd just buy the dress in the other colorway, because I can't justify spending +15yuan for domestic shipping.

Sorry for the long post!

There's some white/ivory colored lace on it too. It comes in three colors: Black/brown, pink, and cream colored? Anyways, I bought that, and it was confiscated by Chinese customs in my last order. I just bought the most frequent colors I'd wear with lolita, as I don't have any lolita purses. I've been wanting a candy purse for such a long time - and no store sells them! I wish DoL still had their old stock up. I loved their older stock so much more than the shit they have now and never update.

Also, a major difference for the candy purse is that it's a handbag (which I hate) and doesn't have a strap. It's much more durable than the loris purse. I don't know who originally made the candybag, but the PU is some tough shit and doesn't fold or bend or is nearly as soft as Loris's purses. This is my first time buying from Loris, and I don't think I'm going to again because the PU is just too damn soft. I feel like it's going to melt in my hands every time I hold the bag.

To both anons:
I switched from yoybuy for one reason: they kept telling me things I really wanted were out of stock, when they clearly were in stock.
Learned my lesson after 3 orders and went searching for another SS that wasn't about emailing back and forth. (I don't like being so personal.)

TBFocus is pretty organized in my opinion. 10% service commission included with the first payment, Payment preview, very simple shopping cart system that includes translation options, and very friendly service if you need to change something.

Haven't had a problem yet. When something is out of stock they're quick to say and happy to swap in something in its place.

The only thing about them is they're better for smaller orders as they have a 25 item limit. Which is fine I just use them for yearly wig orders and this and thats for cosplay.

Update from Yoybuy regarding the shipping to the USA thing:

Dear Anon,

Thanks for contacting YOYBUY customer service.
We just got urgent notice from the international shipping company that the parcels shipped to the USA will be affected for a month, and the 2 countries will pay special attention on the products that go into their country, especially for the products which violate intellectual property rights. From now on which lasts for a month, the customs of the 2 countries will open every parcel for checking to make sure it doesn't violate intellectual property rights. From March 20th, the shipping company who cooperates with us has stopped collecting parcels which contains those items because if it's found containing those items, it will be destroyed without notice and the shipping company will also be fined. The items they stop ship include USB dataline, electronic products, phones and accessary, replica clothes, shoes, hats, etc.

Now, we just found a new shipping company, the special line to USA forwarded from Hongkong, which should be no problem.
However, they charges the shipping fee by volume not by weight.
Perhaps there will be a difference with the shipping cost.
Would you like to wait for a month or change to this new shipping company?
Look forward to your reply.

Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Elva

Looks like they really are cracking down on it. I said to switch, but I asked how long it would take first. But yeah if I have to switch or risk getting my shit destroyed, of course I'm going to switch.

That was me. I was gonna use them, but then I learned that Taobaotrends lets you use SAL, and if you pay via paypal gift (which I normally do anyway) the fee gets knocked down to 6%, which is the cheapest Ive found, so I;m gonna use them (frugirls is 8% + PP fees).

Frugirls has a pretty good cart system, too.

The only downside to them that I could see is, if your order is even semi-big (mine was only like $250), Frugirls will just ask you to pay before they confirm stock, and I guess whatever's leftover will be used for shipping or refunded

God,I want to punch HMHM in the face.
I waited 2 months for now and just found out about this in one of the product reviews:

>Get the goods to July 30, the color of the clothes did wrong, consultation and shopkeepers returned redo August 9 shopkeeper received the clothes I returned. At that time, I asked the owner is not have to wait another month to get the clothes line results shopkeeper said 10 days, according to her I give my time to arrange things, the results I have been to wait until August 29 was received clothes, (completely disrupted my plans!!) during shopkeeper over this matter completely seriously, and one day after the August 10 to travel, but also did not give me the last part of the account. On the day of the receipt of the clothes, the owner's mother said: In fact, the clothes have been well a few days, but do not know to whom (I fainted Oh, Will is the owner of travel did not explain clearly, or Di Xiaren forget the call my cell phone? ).
Anyway, the owner's mother has always stressed that her daughter is out to play, notebook close at hand. This is a four-diamond sellers attitude. The error Fortunately, an error on this attitude to deal with things. . . .

We just received notice, the American customs will strictly check the package imitation recently, so please less as far as possible buy imitations, Especially the big brands to imitate. Avoid the customs problems.

According to our understanding, this check is only temporary, If you must to buy big brand imitations, you can temporarily don't send the goods, waiting for the customs inspection end, and then send the goods.

The HK post isn't as strict? They're the one I used when I had a CDRom bought and it went through fine even though tons of people said no cds!! No electronics!!

Which is funny because Hong Kong is infamous for knock-offs.

Does anyone have either a screencap or can post their automated email from taobaospree?

Just wanted to add it to the list of SS links about the brand replica thing.

Posting Yoybuy's reply to my inquiries about their switch method.

Dear Anon,

It is our pleasure to be at your service.
It will take about 10 business days to reach the destination.
The tracking number will be provided when the parcel is forwarded to USA from Hongkong.
Here is the tracking website. https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input
It will be sent by plane.
Would you like to wait or change to be the new shipping method?
Look forward to your reply.

Next question I'll ask is how safe it is, and why isn't there tracking within China.

>why isn't there tracking within China.

I'm gonna go on the assumption that they're just gonna as cheaply as possible ship it to HK (without insurance) then when they ship it toward the USA, they'll have tracking.

Unless they are using a truck or some other service to bring the package to the HK postal place from wherever Yoybuy is from.

Quick question for all the more knowledgeable lolitas on what I should buy. I plan to buy this dress as my very first lolita purchase on my own (I have a few things but they're mostly hand-me-downs from a friend of mine that quit lolita about a year ago) and I was wondering which petticoat I should buy that would be best for the dress I'm buying:

This one:

Or this one:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1.w302901031.24.oipSGK&id=4433321628

or neither?

Sure, here's the one I got:

"Dear Friends,
Thank you for the email.
WE DON'T TAKE ANY BRAND ITEMS ORDERS TO USA at the moment! Custom 100% check before sending!
sorry for late reply as now we are handling too many orders, we will try our best to reply soon!
do email again if no reply after 1 business day!
Thanks for understanding!
Good day!
Normal working hour: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm"

Don't know if this means that they won't take any brand's items, or just knockoffs...

That makes sense :) I'm glad you mentioned the Loris heart bags aren't that good. I have their envelope bag and it seems pretty good, except the heart that has the snap to close it, I'm afraid that'll bend. My husband closed it and was bending it really bad and I was just like "Noooo!"
I wish I had 8 colors of tea parties! I only have 3 and one was really banged up when I bought them, so only 2 wearable ones.

The first one would be better. A cotton one probably wouldn't have much volume at all. Even though you probably won't want tons of fluff for that dress, the first looks like a good amount.

How would we know if our package got destroyed by customs? Would all the info on the tracking disappear or would it simply say destroyed? On google I got multiple answers, such as, they won't tell you or that they send a letter.
gdi customs, you're a douche for causing me to have a panic attack. Can't wait for my package to be safely in my arms so I can chill from all this anxiety.
