Can someone recommend a good strapless bra or nude bra with clear straps?

A big pet peeve of mine is visible colored bra straps. I have mac/diy/vered some clear straps to a nude colored bra but the straps loosen fairly easy.

I'm a b cup so I don't need a hell of a lot of support, but I don't want it falling down midday either.

You might actually not be a B cup-what are your underbust and bust measurements? Thus is relevant because a properly fitted strapless bra will be way less likely to fall down on you!

thank your stars you're not a 38C

it means you're nearly flat chested and have a wide underbust (at least 34-35 inches across). I have a 35 inch underbust.

Because it fits the topic, 90% of all woman wear a wrong bra size because of measuring in a wrong way, you maybe should consider reading MyWifesBusty's guide.

Just tried it out, it's telling me my bra size should be 28A. The smallest bras I can usually find in normal outlets are 32AA. Maybe that's why the cups are too big at times, especially when it's a push-up type?

Pretty much, I have a similar problem because of the underbust size.

Definitely too big if you actually are a 28A. I would try UK juniors bras for that size.

I'm a 28D myself, which is the same cup volume as 34A. Cup size changes in relation to band.

UK-based sites are a good source for small band sizes. Nordstrom's often carries 30 bands and can special-order 28 bands. And depending on where you live, there may be a specialty boutique.

There are a lot of UK brands that sell 28A. You can find a lot on eBay that won't be super expensive, if you have time. Good brands to look for are Freya and Panache, for instance. I recommend checking out the bratabase, it's an excellent resource.

Every measuring guide ever tells me I'm an A cup (70 centimeters underbust and 80cm breasts) but every single A cup bra ever squishes my breats too much and simply don't fit. I will never understand.

A 28D is actually pretty small. You should check out the Bra Band Project to compare sizes;

http://www.flickr.com/photos/76304212@N06/sets/72157629384173744/

I didn't see any 28Ds, but there was at least 2 30C's which is a sister size to what you were given. The cup volume is the same, the band is just bigger, but it should give you an idea of what a 28D really looks like.

>> No.6706588

>>6706494
28D is small--it has equivalent volume to a 30C, 32B, or 34A. It's what I wear, and I am not a busty girl! The tighter band takes some getting used to, but it's worth it. And a 28D strapless bra is going to stay up WAY better than one with a larger band size.

As someone with the same size, trust me on this one. You can get good prices on 28 band bras at Figleaves and Brastop. I have two Freya Deco Plunges that I just love.

I will check these out, but aren't the cups the factor that stays the same per size while the band is the factor that changes? I. E. 32C same cup size as 36C.

Hey, I have the same measurements. Have you tried going up a cup size and shortening the shoulder straps?

Three of my best-fitting bras are a 70A, a 70B and a 70C. I'm so confused. I also tried on a 65B in a store that fit beautifully but was a hideous colour with itchy lace so I didn't buy it.

Oh, no, no, that would make sense.
Just like having universal sizes instead of different ones for the US, Australia, Japan, the UK, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and 'Europe'. Or like having the band size correspond to your actual underbust measurement instead of some random number on a scale (I'm 70 in 'Europe' but 85 in France what the fuck).
Fucking bra sizes. If you ask me, the entire system needs an overhaul.

I work in a lingerie store so might be some help here. Those stick on ones are difficult. They can work up to about a D but if you're gonna get hot or sweat at all then the glue will fuck up and it'll slide down so it really depends on the location i wouldn't recommend it for a con as it always gets hot and sticky.

The make i suggest is one called Wonderbra, its designed to be like a pair of hands holding you up. Works brilliantly giving you support up to about an f cup, they do do bigger sizes but i find once you go bigger they don't work quite as well.

Also if you're worried about it slipping a bit go for a one smaller back size and a one up on the cup which can sometimes work a bit better.

Yep thats true but the fit won't be as amazing as the 28D but yeah.
Basically if you go down a back you go up a cup and thats the same. Or go up a cap and down a back.
So basically a 28D can be the same as; 30C, 32B, 34A, 36AA.
But i wouldn't recommend going more than 2 sizes away from your original.

That's what the internet is for!

And 28 bands ARE available in the US, they're just harder to find and often more expensive. A lot of big cities have specialty lingerie shops that carry them, and there's even one chain, {intimacy}, that usually has some in-store to try on.

>> No.6711589

>>6711452
The only place that even carries 30 is Nordstrom and they usually have to special order them. I live a couple of hours north of Los Angeles and I've never been able to find a place that has 28's. Luckily I'm a 30 but I can't find those either. I don't particularly want to pay $50 a bra to shop at Nordstrom. I usually shop on eBay, but return shipping to the UK is a bitch when they don't fit.
