This is why I hate anime cons.

fucking AFO and especially megacon have been going on for almost two decades now, and they are still unorganized as shit. They cant into basic organization.

I understand panels/celebrity cancellations, but they fucking know ahead of time whats going to be where, and it's not that hard to have 1 competent web admin updating shit as things change.

Which leads me to my second gripe, Megacons website STILL looks like its using old ass html from the late 90's. Honestly, id think they could spring a coupel bucks for a real site or if nothing else I cant imagine some web design student at valencia or UCF hasent offered to spruce it up for cheap/free by now

It wasnt bad and the host did a good job explaining where power rangers came from. But I dont watch power rangers so it was kind of boring. They actually went through all of the sentai series albeit pretty fast since we only had an hour. They showed of some toys from gokaiger and the best part was when we talked about akibaranger. But no talk about any sentai after Gokaiger. Even though Kyoryuger has been the funnist sentai in years.

Just a quick question, what do you usually do at conventions? Like what's the one event you never miss?

Megacon is by far my favorite convention in Florida because it's not just an anime convention. There are comic dealers from around the state and it attracts the best cosplays of any convention in state (with Metro being a pretty close second in cosplay, but not in dealer's room.) I actually wanted to go to more panels but I didn't have the time, and I always have fun milling about in the dealer's room and taking photos of cosplays.

This is a huge convention, and for it's size it's run surprisingly well. It also gets big name guests, and the dealer's room is packed every year for the last four years I've been there. I've been to a lot of conventions, and I've seen far shittier cons. Some have dealers that don't even show up, some have no guests, some have low attendance and shitty cosplays abound.

This is not a shitty convention, this is easily the best in the state.

I think that Megacon had impressive guests, but I didn't go to many panels because they didn't really interest me at all. I would have gone to cosplay oriented ones, but I was only there on Saturday. (Also I heard that posing one had a problem/didn't happen?)

It is kind of weird that everything shuts down at around 6-7 (save for the dances), but I think that's to prevent a run in between day con goers (like families) and the raver crowd.

Depends on the con. D*C is kind of cheating but it allows me to do pretty much anything I want. Great costume panels, Interviews from celebrities, 3 dealers rooms. After the dealers rooms end, 5 parties going at any one time, concerts till about 2-3 and booze flowing everywhere.

Basically any place that really doesn't kick you out after 8-9 o'clock and still has stuff to do.
