I'm booked at the St. Claire, but some of our friends are still on the waiting list for THREE rooms at the Hilton. I've never been in charge of a room on the wait list, what are the chances they'll actually get that? Because if they don't get their rooms and want to stay with us they can go fuck themselves. When hotel reg opened I was trying to give them all these helpful links to override the 'all rooms booked' page, but they were all nope we want the Hilton and only the Hilton.

Can we not have the masq and the ball happening at the same time again? I feel like it's scheduled that way so there's less people trying to pack into the auditorium but meh. Now that I think about it Fanime's masq was pretty good in the past, but last years was average at best compared to other cons.

I think a lot of the better cosplayers are opting for masquerade ball nowadays. After all, some of these folks have significant other, just want to dance and mingle with friends, or maybe getting tired of fanime masq altogether.

The Masquerade started being on the same day as the ball a couple years back and I still don't know why this change was made (room for Musicfest?). The ball usually does go on for a bit longer than Masquerade though so you can still stop by the ball afterwards.

So not ready. I'm getting worried with no information about AA still. But I'm still looking forward to Fanime to see people I don't get to see often! I might try to bring some more baked goods like ALA. I've been tempted to make red and blue velvet cupcakes and cookies of course.

I was already really excited for Fanime, if only to lounge in the sun while reading manga and watching cosplayers but holy shit, Omori being a guest is just so perfect... Baccano! and Princess Jellyfish are two of my favorite series and I'm really ridiculously pleasantly surprised to get a guest relevant to them, especially the director! cosplay wise I still am unsure but will definitely have to represent the aforementioned so probably Nice and then Tsukimi or one of the other Amars.

Really? Your first time? I'm GR at a convention down south of Fanime and let me tell you, it's probably the easiest job ever. All you really do is make sure GoH/guests go to their things on time, fetch them things (water/snacks/etc which the con comps you for) and just keep them company. I've done about 4 of the departments and I have to say, GR is my favorite.

Very pumped for this Fanime. last one was kind of a let down considering the past years I have attended, but both of my best friends are going to come along this time.

Staying in the Double Tree which kind of ticks me off initially because this means I will be unable to bring my Odin from Odin Sphere, but as I know from last year it is much more quiet and less traffic at the pool and hot tub.

I am not nearly done with my cosplays, had a bunch of commissions I finished last week so I just barely started work. I pln to attend the Masq, but my SO wishes to attend the ball so i hope they are not at the same time again!
