I generally avoid physical contact with anyone in body/face paint for this reason. Also, I hate seeing people applying this stuff (properly or improperly) in a public restroom at a con. Do that shit on your own time, at your own place. Some people need to wash their hands.

Then congrats, you have no idea what it's like to be a big person. It has nothing to do with offending anyone, it has to do with a certain amount of decency. A slim and busty girl wearing the wrong outfit would look just as bad as a larger girl trying to wear something that totally doesn't fit her.

At Toracon a few years ago, this one girl was going as Yoko, but she'd gone so over-the-top skimpy with it (moreso than the show) that they made her put on a jacket because it had crossed that line from being accurate to being borderline pornography. I view that exactly the same as if an overweight person, MALE OR FEMALE, tries to squeeze themselves into an outfit that is completely unflattering and un-fitting for their shape. It doesn't look good on you, and the rest of us would rather not be subjected to it either, and that's really the term to use; subjected to it.

If someone wore around a shirt that said "Redheads are sluts", unless someone was completely classless, the argument "I can wear anything I like and you're not allowed to be offended" would hold absolutely no weight whatsoever. It would be a turn off for those around you. This is really a very similar situation.
