I've spent a bit of time with her before and she was nothing but a sweetheart to me. She was shy and overly modest, and had a cheerful attitude about everything.

I swear I'm not her, and we're not close friends or anything so I'm not trying to whiteknight. I just want some examples as to why anons claim to have had bad experiences with her? It's really confusing me because she was so extremely nice to me, I can't even imagine her acting mean.

In 2012, there were at least 80. Possibly more, but definitely not less.

SDCC isn't much of a meetup convention in the same way that Katsucon and Otakon are known for their Homestuck meetups, mostly because of how tickets are sold. You won't see Homestuck taking up an entire entrance like at NYCC.

It depends what you're going for. I always use Ben Nye on my face--it's creamier and doesn't ever crack or look dry and flaky, like some water based paints do. Ben Nye is NOT for anywhere but your face though, it'll smear off no matter how much you powder and seal it. I've used Kryolan for my arms and hands before and it's pretty good. Not PERFECT (it always wore off in the crook of my elbows and to some degree on my hands) but not bad. PAX of course will give you the longest and most intense hold.

What material do you all suggest I use to make Feferi's gold bracelets/neckpiece/anklets/tiara out of?
I've seen everything from ribbon to brushed metal, and I can't figure out if it looks best solid, rich yellow, or metallic gold colored.

And what do you all think of extra embellishments on the tiara, kind of like how Kingtomcat does it? Should I keep to canon design or play with it a little?

I think a few extra embellishments look nice. Don't like, DROWN the tiara in rhinestones, but a few little tasteful signs of wealth, sure. I like when people do that with the fuschia trolls, it makes them look more royal and less cartoony and weird.

Excuse the shitty scanned traditional work, I don't have my tablet.
So how's the idea of splitting the colors like this? Is it even possible to make this dress?
Also, how should I do the makeup?
Any other tips will be highly appreciated

That's actually a pretty neat take on the dress!
It'd be possible, just either attach a smaller piece at the point where they meet, or make it a full skirt and attach it at the waist/just use elastic and let it sit at your waist. And I don't think you'd have to sew stripes into it, as it looks like it's just slightly bunching since she's in a crouch.

As for makeup, if you use a lip fixative, I'd go for the second option, but flip it so the blue's on top w/pink on bottom.
It'll help define your lips against the body paint, and you want your upper to be the darker color so it pops the most!

There are a lot of good Araneas/Meenahs, DM is a good Damara, Lirlys (deviantart) is a good Porrim, Boondollars is the only good Horuss I've seen so far, pic related is my favorite Latula/Mituna cosplayers (bad picture, but I'm a lazy fuck), I've never seen a good Rufioh (or Summoner for that matter), Hanyaan would probably be my favorite Kurloz, Kankri is never cosplayed well, Yonejiro (deviantart) is a good Cronus, and there's a Meulin I actually like but her blog is on hiatus.

Okay this was what I was talking about a few threads back with my gripe with Mohawkdandy. He ended up not cosplaying Friday for some reason or another and threw together a closet cosplay of Tinkerbull since his partner was doing Tavros. And THIS costumes got more attention and photos then other cosplays at the con. With people running up to say how cute he was or whatever. Not to mention the reason the two of them are like that in the photo is he had several people call for him to get up for the Taurus shoot last minute, even though he wasn't cosplaying a Taurus so he just ran in and jumped on his partner's back. I mean you can clearly see there is zero effort in this closet cosplay.

I'm lame and I can't tell if the vividness of the colors in this picture are shooped, but I just really love the colors of this entire cosplay, as well as the photoshoot location. Their cosplay construction from what I can see is really clean, and really overall I'm just really enjoying this.

Only criticisms I have is that its obvious to me the gun is made of wood because of the grain, and possibly using some more contour shading for face makeup. But really I like this a LOT and its hard for me to find an Eridan cosplay I like.

Hey, I'm an anon from a while ago who asked for Seer fabric reccs. I'm looking at fabrics right now for the Seer of Time robe, and I want your opinions before I choose.

I'm torn between these two fabrics, mostly for their color as I'm trying to get it as accurate as possible. Oh yes I've seen this group before! I'm actually not very big on tricksters but I can pick out a couple I like in here. That Eridan though stands out much better on their own instead of the group. Other trickster's neon colors kind of wash them out, and make them a little less noticeable.

It makes me think, as a suggestion I think if there's going to be a group going as tricksters people should agree on a range of colors because there's bright colors and then there's neon and neon is always more attention grabbing.

This seems like the perfect time to ask this question. I want to cosplay karkat, but I don't feel I have the body type to crossplay convincingly. So, I'm doing femkat. I've just started planning it but so far I'm going to buy:

I agree with you completely about spectagoggles, but I dunno about tatum. She's cosplayed at least 5 different characters, all executed cleanly, and she seems to have a lot of skill with cosmetology and wig styling. It's kinda like how i feel about Ella in that I can't love her until I see more good quality pictures, but for now I at least like her.

It's pretty cheap (under $10), and what I do is pin the wig to a wig head, take a comb, and spray the comb as I slowly comb from the bottom to the top. Just make sure you're not using too much, or it'll look greasy. Once you can finger comb it with ease (what a wonderful feeling), you're done. Just make sure you wash your hands after, and let it sit in a well ventilated area like a basement with a cracked window or a garage overnight, because that stuff has fumes. But it works miracles.
