Wasn't a bad venue, just horribly laid out.

And it did do well this year. They had more attendees than any year before it. But the reason it is ending after next year is the people running it, the 8 people that put the entire thing together, are moving on with their lives. they are getting married, having kids, buying houses, and don't have the time to commit themselves to the con as much as they have for the past 5 years.
And the reason they don't want to get new staff to take over for them is because it is their con and they would rather it stay with them, and end for now, then have it turn into another frostcon run by people who do not know what they are doing.

From what I saw on Saturday, there was barely any anime related cosplay. Many people in Star Trek uniforms and related cosplay though.

Also, Patrick Steward confirmed for being a dick. Of all the Trek people there signing autographs, he was the only one who didn't allow random people to take photos. (hmm, that might be Gaben with the pink wrist band.)

Maybe it's just the boards I've been frequenting, but if your cosplay isn't 100% perfect, or even if it is but you don't have the body type/face/nose/fingernail shape that is said person's headcanon, they'll tear you a new asshole over it.
