you'd be surprised what people can forget in the heat of the moment sometimes.
I cosplayed a character from a game I had been 100% in love with for 3 years, played through several times over the years, and a character who I had doodled billions of times during boring classes.
I spent hours making every detail of the costume exactly perfect. And yet, when I went out to cosplay her I was so excited that I forgot to draw the markings on said character's face completely. No markings whatsoever, when her face has two very distinctive markings on them.

Not a matter of my enthusiasm for the game, just a matter of how little I look at my own face.

I don't know about you but I think it's bullshit that we now have janitors that are deleting people's cosplay pictures based arbitrarily on what sort of reactions they might think it may cause. Whether it be Jessica or any other cosplayer. One of the great things about /cgl/ is that it has been a place to post and talk freely about cosplayers and the community. Jessica is a popular cosplayer that does a lot of fun costumes and there is no reason that her pictures should somehow be barred from the board.

And just so you are clear, a janitor is NOT a moderator. He doesn't get to make up his own arbitrary policies based on what he likes or doesn't like. Posting a picture of a cosplayer is not against any rules and he shouldn't be deleting these pictures. Don't make the mistake of believing anything someone with power does is virtuous. 4chan is as corrupt as any teenage chat room.

It falls under Rule #2 depending on the context. When you keep reposting after deletion, it then becomes spam and you expose yourself as a troll by persistently and aggressively pushing your agenda.

What about PT threads? She's a cosplayer and a lolita so posting her picture is also on topic board content. What about Dakota? She's a j-fashion model so posting her picture is board content as well. Same goes for Ashley. She does cosplay makeup, and that is also board-related.

What do all of them have in common? They are the reasons we have Rule #2. It's not against the rules to post them, but when they are posted drama is guaranteed to follow. Drama is against Rule #2. Where there is drama there are people submitting reports. Where there are reports there are deletions. Our janitor is doing their job by pruning those drama posts out of the threads.

1. You're assuming that it was deleted preventatively. You are basing your entire argument on that assumption.
2. It's more likely that it was deleted because someone reported it as a rule violation. This is usually the case because it is more typical tor mods and janitors to use their report queue rather than skim through every post and every thread on the board.
3. The archive shows that you reposted it after it had been deleted the first time. In that case it becomes spam the 2nd and 3rd time you post it.
