Didn't see one, so, coord help thread?

I can't decide if I these black shoes or these red shoes would look better with this.

I also listed tights options, some of them are also available in white. The ones at the bottom are a white pair I already own. The red ones I don't feel like would work, but I put them anyway in case anyone had any ideas.

I could just go the usual route with white tights and black shoes, but I kind of feel like that would be boring and I'd like to try maybe getting creative. Does anyone have any ideas on possibly making these red shoes work with this?

Oh and also I will be wearing a white blouse with it.

I prefer solid colored tights, especially opaque, over the lacey ones you chose! Either in white/cream or black with the red shoes you have in your photo.

Top can be a chiffon white/cream top (high collar would work wonderfully) or a nice bolero. Go with gold accessories and a simple headdress or a beret!

So glad there's a coord help thread, I'm having a slight dilemma.
The dress I (will) have is made from the fabric in the image. It's a really bad photo so to clarify, it is ivory/cream diamonds separated by a pale blue. In each diamond is a small bouquet of pink roses and green leaves, and a navy heart in each corner.
To coord with so far, I have a pink beret, ivory tights and a pink cardigan. The problem I'm having is the shoes. I can't find pink shoes that either match what I have already or I can have in my possession before Monday.
Would I look really silly if I wore shoes that weren't pink? One thing I'm considering is using my brown satchel bag and getting matching brown shoes, like loafers or brogues.
Any help would be very much appreciated!

Yeah, some cute navy shoes with a t-strap, kitten heel would work nice. You could attach a little pink corsage to the shoes, or get a navy bag with pink accents, or wear a navy beret.

Go with light greens to pull out the leaves for accessories. Stick with white blouse and lightly patterned tights (like those eyelash lace kind) and for shoes I would do an oxford, but finding one in green... maybe you could do reds to offset the pinks? Like one of those red velvet bow low rise heels?

Salmon can be a difficult color to work with just because it's so uncommon. I think the best bet might be to stick mostly to white (Shy Shy on Yesstyle has some gorgeous textured white tights) and try to make your own jewelry. Since it's such a tough color to match, I wouldn't trust anything you can't see in person.

Just threw this together really quickly. Got the skirt in a meta lucky pack. Still not solid on the shoes, but you get the idea.

I like stars. I seem to add star accessories in many of my sweet coords.

Would light teal flats be ok with this coord? Saw a few on ebay that might go with it, Meta says it's "sax" but it's really a light turquoise/teal color, sort of an aqua blue.

Flats get a bad rap in lolita, but I really don't see a problem with them as long as they suit the outfit. They're usually a little more casual than heels, so you might want to keep that in mind when planning the rest of your outfit. Super cute coord, by the way!

I'm having problems finishing up my coord, mainly because I don't know which shoes would look good, or where to find nice opaque tights in my size.
I'm plus sized, and tall (5'7"), and I'd love if anyone can point me in the direction of good places that might help me with my hosiery problem?

Also, what sort of shoes do you think might look good with this coord? The ones I've found on BodyLine (where I was suggested to look) that are in stock don't really suit what I want. My foot is a size ten, American.

I don't have jewelry bought for it yet, but I'm looking with an Alice in Wonderland motif, with pinks and golds.

Ideas in general would be appreciated! This is my first coord!

I've bought both tights and socks from them.

I bought striped tights in a purple color a few years ago, and they ripped quite easily at the crotch. I'm only 5'1" and 105 lbs so I was pretty disappointed. They were fairly opaque, but not totally.

But since that was almost 4-5 years ago, I don't know if they're better now.

The socks I bought more recently in a light color, and they were soft and stretchy. They didn't feel thick, more like slightly thicker than stocking socks. They were better quality, though.

As I recall- the tights are no longer in my closet- they had a typical hosiery sheen to them but nothing horrible. The socks are totally matte though. Since you're buying them in white I doubt it'd be noticeable shiny at all.

I have the nylon/lycra tights in a couple colors, and for the money I'm pretty satisfied. If you leave wiggle room they're very opaque, and they're soft and comfy. I didn't notice any weird sheen to them. They are a bit fragile, so you'll want to wash them by hand.

Also, yeah... The sax. You definitely would need some type of hair accessory in sax, like a big headbow. The shoes actually look good in white! Here's another coord attempt. I really appreciate critique and help.

I left the shoes out in this one as I'd like to pair it with some white short boots instead.

This is a cold weather outfit, hence the heavy dress and Korilakkuma capelet. If the capelet looks really bad (It looks much cuter worn.) I have a pink sidebow I'd probably switch it out with. Apologies again for the grainy picture and the fact that he beads and dangly stuff on the brooch are everywhere.

Honestly, if you're going to go with those shoes then I'd take it in a more grown-up looking direction with the jewellery and go for a gold charm bracelet sort of deal with stars or unicorns, gold dangly earrings and a gold necklace with the same theme. I'd also nix the tights because they really don't suit that style of open toe shoe imo. You could probably keep the blouse though and add in a gold bag with some sort of pink accent on it to tie it in.

Thank you! I'll have a play around and see what I can come up with. I actually had it up for sale at one point because all I was doing was putting it with black, but lack of interest meant I kept it.
The pink version is up for sale on usagiyouhinten if anyone wants it though - the bust measurements are wrong though, it will fit up to 84cm bust.

I think coordinating your accessories is key for OTT sweet - I think if you're going for a little OTT, then one big hair accessory would be best e.g. giant headbow/hairpiece, and then have the accessories in the colour theme of the outfit. You don't need a super huge twintail wig or anything (example pic: giant cake headdress and fairly flat hair) but do something to support the hugeness of the hairpiece.

The way I see this coord is that it's made up of black x silver x pearls, and you need to find the right balance between them whilst keeping the overall aesthetic consistent. The trouble with the shoes you've picked is that they look like sexy secretary shoes so don't go with the masqueradey-poofy-evening-dress feel. The shiny could work but you want a rounder toe and thicker heel.

Also, if you want to add more sparkle/bling, black tights with tiny silver glitter dots, pearl accents, or shiny thread woven into them could work with this.

I must say, I feel wearing a GLW for your first coord is quite risky, since 99% of people can't seem to pull them off. There's a good chance it won't match your skin tone or clothes or that you may have not trimmed it neatly and properly to your face shape. GLW also tend to look "wiggy" since the shine doesn't turn out well in photos. I feel the need to say it, but don't feel that you need "matching" hair, especially with such a subdued coord. Maybe something elaborate and OTT would look better with it, but these pieces coordinated like this don't require it at all.
I prefer patterned tights or socks, preferably with some gold in them, or a third color if you choose to introduce one (throughout the outfit).
I don't like the bracelet, especially because of the pink. I think all pearls or something gold would look nicer, and I agree with >>6570744

Get rid of that blouse. That print is so busy that you need to be pretty careful with it. I would concentrate on using black, stay away from white. Try a black blouse and shoes to start with.

Alright, I see what you were going for in regards to the blouse. It has hearts on, there's hearts on the pattern- I get it. I'm agreeing with >>6572829 when it comes to color choice. Stick with a solid, black preferably. I'm assuming this is one of your first coords, and that's fine, but I do think you should look for more inspiration. Come to the ita threads so you know what not to do.
Make sure the socks are a solid color- it'll make your life easier. Printed socks are fine, but it seems you're struggling as it is.
Personally, I find the boots horrendous.
