I started out with pretty young, mostly because my Grandmother used to make me wear custom made dresses as a child and even into early pre-teen. She was very old fashioned and heavily influenced by her English upbringing. Around 13 is when I started to get into the goth look but much more aristocrat than mall-goth. I still dress like that, but its a mash of "high fashion meets dark brooding aristocrat"...yeah. It looks better than it sounds. XD

Anywho, posting more tutorials!

I suppose it depends what time of hair you have. Maybe, Blow dry hair when wet, with some product to help keep it from frizzing and flat iron it. Then do the style....wanna go the lazy route? Go to the hair dresser and get a wash & blow dry, then add a flat iron straightening at the end. When your hair is close to wash time, do the style then. Stale hair will hold better with this type of style and freshly cleaned hair will always have strays and is horrible for styling like this.

- Well, it had changed just because now I have more stuff than I had when I began but yes, at first I was more into Classic Lolita and Sweet and now I may try Gothic sometime.
- My favorite style is Fairy Kei and Ko-Gal, but I'm too old for those now (I feel) so I wear mostly Lolita and Mori.

I feel your pain. Mine is super-fine/thin as well. I tie it in a ponytail and it looks like less hair than other people's pigtails. I'm growing out my bangs because it seems like I'm "wasting" hair having bangs, plus they fluff up after I wash my hair (think flat Asian hair and like...a fluffy cowlick from bangs that are eyebrow-length)

Despite that, it behaves pretty well otherwise and sits really flat, doesn't knot very much, and is pretty resistant to heat/styling/dying damage.

- Been into j-culture and fashion since I was about 14.
- I used to dress like a normal person and follow western trends. These days I'm a full blown lifestyle mori-girl. My friends and family used to make jokes about how I'm "away with the fairies" until they realized I took it as a compliment. Even people that have no idea what a mori-girl is remark on how natural and gentle my look is.

- How long have you been into J-Fashion?
5 years but last year I started to actually wear it
- Has your look changed since you started?
Yes I finally found what I truly liked , I use to hate going shopping but now I feel that although 80% of the clothes available are hideous to me you can always find something that looks similar to mori , lolita , fairy kei etc.
- What is your favorite style?
Sweet and casual lolita , and fairy kei.

Also , any tutorials for lolis with short hair? I cut my hair in june but since them it doesn't seem to grow LOL

Aww, well it's hard to know! I used to love Revlon and Almay, but now they're offenders :( Brands are always going back and forth. Nyx has amazing eyeshadows though! I actually steered away from them for the longest time because I always confused them with Nyc, who tests XD; A friend who swears by them convinced me to try them and I realized they were cruelty-free! Anyways, thanks for posting all the pics and tuts! :3

>- How long have you been into J-Fashion?
Since I was 13 I would say, so 10 years today! (hurhur it's my burfday)

>- Has your look changed since you started?
Holy shit yes. Ever since I got into it, I have always based my own personal style around it. In middle school, it started off with wearing a clusterfuck of randmoness, and calling it japanese fashion. In high school, freshman and sophomore year, I started wearing decora religiously, pretty much daily. By then, everyone around me was used to me wearing weird shit, so it wasn't a big difference to them, but I actually started paying attention to 'rules' and what actually complimented each other.
By the end of sophomore year, I was really into ganguro, and I guess what has now evolved into Gal. I never wore ganguro makeup out, but I started following Shibuya fashion at this time.
Senior year I dropped out and started working, and took up haady gyaru. It screamed by name for maybe a year, and then I got pretty bored of it.
I went through about a year and a half of just not giving a shit about fashion, and I worked somewhere that I couldn't really wear MY style, and had to cater to older women.

Now that I can wear whatever the fuck I want with my fashion again, I am getting into creepy cute I guess, minus the pastels. But mostly just creepy and black clothing with darker gal makeup.

- What is your favorite style?
creepy cute? I don't even know what styles are called anymore.

- How long have you been into J-Fashion?
>Maybe 2 years or so, but I had an alternative sense of style before.
- Has your look changed since you started?
Yes, it's more sweet and otome orientated.
- What is your favorite style?
I'd have to say otome or classic lolita. I can't wait to start collecting a beautiful classic wardrobe.

Whenever I get anyone new to makeup, I always about their diet and habits. The best skin, is health skin. Drinking enough water, cutting out coffee/pop and fried food. Sorry for the rant.

I personally prefer liquid, I usually mix my foundation with a good moisturizer, if I want very light coverage. Some liquid foundations can be very build-able. I would suggest using a beauty-blender to apply your makeup, but disposable makeup sponges work fine too, just moisten them before use.

To be honest. I know nothing about drugstore foundations or makeup really and only recently have discovered a few drugstore products like Bourjois, Nyx and maybelline (Mostly for lip products or eyeliners). So, I cannot help you there, sorry.

I can help you in the dry skin department. I use a sleeping moisturizing mask at night and use cleansing oils instead of soaps in the winter time. But, if you want some higher-end suggestions. I'm your gal...there isn't any brand I haven't owned or tried (Asian/European/North American).

I don't eat great but I also don't eat horrible. It's not so much that I have bad skin as that I want to contour and I feel like putting crap on the sides of my face and not on my whole face might look kind of... off. My skin isn't so dry that I would feel like doing anything about it, honestly. It gets kind of flaky on my nose sometimes but it's not so bad. Gay men are godly at makeup and he used to be a MUA for Mac and he swears by this brand. But, from what I noticed, some Drugstore brands are not that far off in price compared to Sephora's private brand of makeup. At least there you can play around with stuff and even ask for samples to try out.

Ah, sorry. I'm only half functioning right now, so my apologies! Rimmel is a drugstore brand.

For Contouring, I would suggest something that is matt (no shimmer), some "bronzers" come in a matt option. If you cannot find that, a brown singlet eyeshadow will work just fine. You want to go two shade darker.

A highlighter & blush. I would suggest something, but I would need to know your skin tone.
