So lolitas on this board. What's your reaction when you bump into a stranger on the street wearing coveted lolita items in a un-loli way? As in, the coords is breaking traditional lolita rules/ is casual/ has more modern twist/ paired with unloli items.
Think of puppet circus worn with a normal blazer/ no hair accessories etc.

I am uncomfortable of wearing my brands outside exactly because I am paranoid of being judged for 'not doing the print justice, ita, etc'. But I find wearing a full coords a hassle when I just want to wear my nice dress out for a casual shopping.

Do you often wear your lolita items in a un-loli coord?

As for what I would think if I saw this: I wouldn't care. I would be happy running into someone with similar fashion tastes as me and strike up a conversation about it and then go on my merry way. I wear lolita pretty much anytime I go out (I don't have a schedule that allows meetups) so seeing someone else would be a treat, no matter how much I didn't like their coord.

I do it all the time. I rarely get the chance to wear full lolita, and since I wear gothic, some skirts, socks and bags/accessories incorporate well into my everyday goth-y style. I often wear my Moitié-skirts with regular blouses or cute t-shirts, tights and comfortable shoes for school.
I think a lot of lolitas do, and I've never heard of anybody ripping somebody apart for it. I mean, $300 on a dress to wear three times a year isn't really worth it for me. I want more wear out of my clothes if they're going to be expensive.

I only have a small lolita wardrobe so far, (2 skirts+blouse+shoes+petti+cardigan from bodyline,1 salopette+blouse from AP) so to not repeat myself to0 much (also cba to always do my makeup hair nice/wear wig) I often wear my things casually or with loliable items. I mean it's not lolita, but it can still be kind of cute.

I do it all the time! I have a bunch of black/grey print skirts that I just wear with a black turtleneck, gothy jewellery and nice boots to lectures when I feel like wearing a skirt. I wear my dresses in a non-loli way sometimes too, but generally only to formal dinners and balls and stuff.

I wear my jsks as sundresses a lot and I am often attacked by the local lolitas. I have scarring from the parasol poking and handbags leave a terrible bruise. Sometimes they will choke me with my neck ties which sounds sexy but it is not.
It's terrifying. Even worse when I'm wearing bodyline or replica.
