I personally like it best in the blackxlavender colorway.
I'm still tinkering if I actually like the print itself though.
Is anyone else planning to grab one?

Which colorways do you like out of curiosity?
I like them all except for the redxpink but that's just because I don't think that combo looks good on myself in general.

I like the redxpink and brownxpink colorways, the blackxpink is meh to me, and the blackxlavender isn't all that great.

The way the bows are just slapped on makes it look like babby's first photoshoop.
It's honestly one of the AP's worst. Too busy yet too plain and horribly uncreative.

The tiered jsks? I definitely like the fact that they don't have the bodice lace on them.
I'm unsure about the print not aligning on the bottom part.

I know this will sound dumb, but I accidently bought the blackxlav skirt. I guess I am used to receiving invoices via email where there are several screens you go through to confirm the payment and I was on the first screen after the cart confirmation and I hit 'continue' at the bottom of the paypal screen to see the conversion (I've found my chrome app can be off) and now it's being shipped to me... I dunno I don't own a lot of prints but I was looking for something lavxblack so I guess it'll work. It was all sold out on the site except for the skirt and one of the jsks I think so I guess it's popular enough to just re-sell if I really hate it when it arrives. I wanted to see the fit on their skirts anyway since the jsks hit me above the knee (5 5 here). I feel pretty dumb about the whole thing though. I think I can work in some polka dot tights though, to go with the pattern?

I absolutely love this print. Its the first AP print that I actually wanted to buy right away, but all of the colorways I like are sold-out. I love all of them though.

I'm sure the fully shirred JSK will pop up on mbok in a matter of time, japanese lolitas hate full shirring.

OP here and I took your advices and decided to wait on buying one. Spent the money on something else. I looked up a review of the blackxlav skirt from someone who received it in Osaka , and it looked alright. But I wasn't blown away.
It's just not something I think I want to pay that much money for new as you've said.

so i received the skirt today. Actually liking it. the fit is great though the length is still a bit short. not as bad as my jsks though. i really like the waistband bow with the pearl string. So in the end i think i will keep it. the colors are pretty irl.

What's the fabric like? In the stock pics it just looks like their normal cotton but in that review pictures it's almost got a pearl sheen to it (urgh I know that is not the right word I'm looking for but I can't describe it any other way) and looks softer instead of stiff like their usual cotton

it feels more like a sateen than a cotton. so it is slightly slick and has a sift shine? i only had a moment to try it on then i was out the door. i can take some pictures tomorrow for you. like i said i don't own a lot of prints and this is my first AP one so all I can compare it to is an old all black AP jsk i have which is obviously cotton.

Ohhh okay, that's what I wanted to know. I have a few prints of theirs that are made of cotton but it isn't as soft as like, their not print cotton if that makes any sense? I actually think the cotton sateen makes this print more desirable to me.

Hey anon, I'm back with some bad news. I took another look at the fabric today (forgot pictures but I don't think you need them at this point) and I'm sad to say it does NOT have a gloss or shine to the fabric. I must have tricked my eyes yesterday. It is still a slicker feel to the fabric, but it is not pearly or anything like that, so just a printed 100% cotton. I'm sorry I got your hopes up, if you still want pictures, let me know and I'll do it, the black shows up much nicer than stock photos in my opinion, and the waist bow (detachable) on the skirt has an actual ribbon sewn into it with polka dots to give it a bit of shine and texture, which I like.
