Yeah, the ones you see in the robes with the green/teal collars are Sinbad's folks. And >>6514294, >>6514286, >>6513769, & >>6513760 are as current as the manga gets.

I highly recommend reading the manga. The anime has left out -so- much, it isn't even funny. They're around chapter 53 and only on episode 12, if that says anything. Considering there's only 167 chapters scanlated, that's a scary pace.

Yes and no. A lot of the people I've met who are into this fandom have been pretty alright. They show a genuine interest in the series and if they're cosplayers, they've been pretty open with sharing ideas and ways to do the costumes. Then you have the ones who are all "OHEMGEE There's soooo many bois in this. They must ALL be sucking each other off! Even if they're not, I'm making them do it RIGHT NOW." or you have folks who try to get in because they think they'll look the best physically when they drop the costumes off for rom shoots.

Photoshop brings up the anime colors as a pinkish-red, while the manga describes the Fanalis as red hair/red eyes. I've always seen it as kind of a Madame Red..red. Though, the darker crimson colors look much nicer than the lighter wigs. Those tend to look a bit cheap, especially for such fierce characters.

He isn't super bronze dark, like the folks of Heliohapt.. I see him more as tanned from the sun, having been in his..profession..as long as he had been. Think of Balbadd as the country of Turkey. (Kou is China, Laem is Greece, Heliohapt is Egypt, etcetc) I guess decent examples of this are Fazza or Burak Ozcivit. If you feel that you're able to do it, please test your make-up before going out for your photos. Most of the people I see on cure who do this look more like Oompa Loompas because they haven't tweaked the look enough.

Okay, question.
I'd like to cosplay Morgiana, but, I'm nervous that trying to make a dress like hers can easily seem like an unfinished sloppy mess? Any tips from people who have made similar garments (things that need to look like they belong to a peasant/slave/what have you)?

Perhaps make the dress out of muslin? Its very cheap by the yard and the way its slightly discolored makes it look, well, 'peasant'-like. Im sure if you find a plain jane dress pattern, and fray/cut up the dress a bit, it wont look so sloppy as it will roughed up.

Either high quality Muslin or a cream colored Kona. With the latter, you'd be best off tea dying it, then burying it in a small box of sand and red/tan dust to get that Middle Eastern grunge. Though, if you're going for post-slave Morgiana, don't overdue it. She's not being forced to carry grape wine anymore, afterall.
