I was at an anime con dressed as Lum. A man, sitting with a woman (presumably his wife) asked if he could take my photo, and I politely declined. As I passed him, I saw him take out his iPhone and snap a picture anyways. I ignored it and kept on walking, muttering to my boyfriend what a creepy thing that was to do. I forget about the incident and went along my business, enjoying myself at the rest of convention. About 3 hours later, I felt someone grab my shoulder forcefully and wheel me around. "I heard you call my husband a creep you bitch, that's grounds for getting your little ass kicked!" I tried to remember where I had seen her before and realized that it was the woman I had seen earlier, sitting next to her husband who had taken a creepy picture of me. Terrified, I turned around and kept walking through the crowd, not once acknowledging her outburst. She kept following me. At that point my boyfriend grabbed me and said "Go in the restroom, now!", and he ran and told security. I locked myself in a bathroom stall for several minutes until I felt like it was safe to come out.
My boyfriend was waiting for me outside, then escorted me to the staff room where I told them the whole story and described the woman to them. White woman, mid-40's. They eventually tracked the woman down and brought her in for questioning. She bitched them out, and they told her that if they hear of that kind of behavior from her again, she would be kicked out of the con. Later, I talked to one of my friends who was on staff, and he said that wasn't the first time they'd had issues with this woman - apparently she had caused trouble at previous conventions too. What really freaked me out about the whole situation was that she came and found me 3 hours later, after I forgotten about it. Fucking crazies.

First con I went to as a grown ass man was with a chick I was friends with from the internet (I'll call her D) and some guy she was trying to hook up with (R for ease). When I was driving down to the C-Bus I got a text saying that oh, by the way, his friend (we'll say A, because why not) was gonna be there too. Wasn't particularly too worried since I was already planning to spend the weekend with a couple people I didn't really know.

When I got there everything was okay at first.D turned out to be some flavor of autistic (Aspergers I'm guessing?) and a bit strange but nothing so bad I couldn't deal. R was a total sweetheart and A seemed like a pretty nice person too. D and R were still working on styling their wigs, so A and I decided to head down to the pool level to check if it was open and see if there was a hot tub. She mentions somewhat casually once we're out of the room that R is her boyfriend and she really only came because it was a long distance thing and a good excuse to spend a weekend with him. Fair enough, it's not as if she wasn't into the con scene anyway and I've done the long distance thing before so I didn't think much of it.

When we got back to the room, another girl was there. Someone D and R were friends with from a different convention. They were going to head back to her room to take a look at some of the props she had brought. I was pretty tired from the drive at this point so I opted to just stay behind and kick back, maybe have a shower. A stayed behind as well.

That was when things started getting pretty strange. A turned out to be some sort of compulsive liar. She started out with semi-believable things; she was a small-time actress in a theater troupe, was planning to join American Idol, things that didn't really seem too bad. Then she decided to sing for me. It was a pretty awkward situation and she was super terrible, but I had no idea what the fuck to say so I just kinda went with the smile and nod route.

She went on to talk about how she was secretly working for Square-Enix after her high school computer graphics teacher noticed her immense talent. She claimed she had a secret Japanese name so nobody would know they had an American chick on their team. There were also some stories about being personal friends with Johnny Depp and Utada Hikaru sending her some perfume personally.

So it turned out she was fucking insane. I didn't really know what to do at this point- I wasn't sure where D and R had gone and it seemed like I was going to be stuck with this girl in our little group most of the weekend. I ended up taking the longest shower of my life.

Next morning in registration lines I was alone with R because he and I were the only of our group to pre-reg. We were talking kinda casually and by this point I felt like I really needed to know just how full of shit this girl was. I ask R pretty casually how long he and A had been together and he just gave me the blankest stare. He had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Apparently she had gotten the idea in her head thanks to some online roleplaying they did.

R and I actually ended up hitting it off pretty well and he told me a bit about some relationship troubles he was having and particularly how D was driving him crazy trying to get in his pants. He actually asked me to make sure I kept sharing a bed with D because he was really concerned about being that close to her and said that she'd tried things on him in other rooms. Can't say I understand even now why he kept going to cons with her.

So, the con goes on. It's a pretty good time. I was having some trouble at that point with pretty severe social anxiety but R and D were actually pretty great about it and we stuck together the whole time even with some other friends of theirs. At some point there was a bit of drama with some mutual friends they had hating each other... I don't really remember at this point, though I'm pretty sure one of the girls involved does some sort of animu singing shows at cons nowadays. Not really relevant.

Anyway, we got split up from A at some point during the con. R tells me he's not really that worried about it. She kept trying to get him alone or would send him strange texts and he wasn't really interested. When we got to the cosplay competition, she was texting him nonstop. Pretty sure it was costing him a fortune too since he's from out of country. He was getting really pissed off at this point and we basically ended up not going back to the room at all that night because she kept telling him she wanted him up there alone.

She started up on a rant about how horrible R was for abandoning her, how he had lied and led her on and was just trying to get...something out of her. I can't say what he was after given that he hadn't taken her up on sex and had more than enough money of his own. At this point I just kept trying to tell her that I really needed to get some fucking sleep since I had to drive back home the next afternoon.

She woke me up maybe an hour or two later and said she was leaving and tell R that he wouldn't see her again. I was still half asleep and clearly remember saying 'bye then' and putting a pillow over my head. I woke up for real a few hours later and sure enough all her stuff was gone. She must have left for the airport a good 12 hours before her flight.

At this point it had to be ten or eleven. D was back in the room sleeping on R's bed and R was nowhere to be found. She woke up while I was getting dressed and started going on and on about how upset she was that R had hooked up with this guy and how he just kept telling her that he wasn't looking for a relationshp and she didn't understand. I don't actually remember how I got out of the room, but I eventually ran into R doing a final lap of the dealer's room.

He told me about a bunch of shit D had pulled last time they meant, which was apparently at some sort of yaoi convention. He was trying to be nice by letting her down easy, I suppose. I actually have two other stories that involve him being latched on to by crazy bitches, so either he's not really trying to get rid of them or he's REALLY bad at it.

Anyway, I was talking to him after I got home and he was back in the UK and he told me A had texted him a few times saying she had been rushed to the hospital from the hotel and that she had some really complex illness and all sorts of really ridiculous shit. He kept trying to tell her to leave him alone and she would make extra accounts pretending to be her friends worried about her or her parents saying she was really sick but wanted to leave him a message. Really ridiculous chick.

I ended up being friends with him for a few years afterward and he actually kinda dated a roommate I later had, which actually ended up creating the worst con experience of my life. The boy has bad luck, but he makes for an interesting roommate.

I shared all of my good stories in the previous few threads, so here is the most recent one. It isn't a horror story, but a series of shitty events that happened to me.

>Lock keys inside car
>Cosplay got ruined by some hamsteak with body paint
>Lost both of my hotel keys
>Cracked iphone screen
>Debit card would not swipe
>GF started period
>Staffer tried to kick me out (he tried to do this at previous TX conventions... personal vendetta...long story)
All of this happened on Friday.

However, I was able to salvage the convention and I had an awesome time on Saturday and Sunday.

There's a small story that I can post a couple pics for. There's a girl who was pretty obsessed with him at the same convention all that craziness took place at. She tracked us down in the dealer's room on the last day of the con and gave him a weird love note. (pic related, I'll post a close up next) She actually caught up to us at Ohayocon the next year too and gave him another note. At one of the photoshoots she did the ~sexy chocobo~ sort of costume and asked to fake kiss him then ended up sticking her tongue in his mouth. He said it tasted like rotten strawberries.

I had been invited to Acen with those two but already had plans for Akon so didn't end up going. They were either the same weekend or just a week or two apart that year. I had spent most of the weekend at a table in artist alley with my roommate and was bored out of my mind half the con so I was IMing/texting back and forth with him at the time.

If the photos didn't show it well enough, D isn't exactly a top notch cosplayer. R prides himself on his costumes and I'm pretty sure the rest of his Acen group were pretty serious. They had kinda snuck away at some point during the con to do a photoshoot without telling D. She forgot her room key and tried to find them, but they had told her they were going to one area for the shoot and actually gone somewhere else.

She tried calling them, but R had either left his phone in the room or didn't have it charged, both pretty typical of him. I guess she also had one of her other friends at the con call him and the front desk page him. She finally had to give them a bunch of her info to get back into the room with a spare key and she just waited there.

D launched into screaming at them about how irresponsible they were, how wrong it was for them to be avoiding her the whole con. It's probably worth mentioning that in the 4 or 5 months between Ohayocon and Acen, she had been doing nothing but talking about how in love she was with him. She wrote him a weird love card at some point that he showed me some time later, just a crazy obsession she was brewing up for him.

Anyway, I guess D ended up launching herself at R's boyfriend and just started wailing on him, punching him in the back, screaming, clawing. The girl I don't really know tried to pull her off him and got the shit scratched out of her arms. They threatened to call the police and D locked herself in the bathroom, still yelling and crying.

R had been staying with D before the con and had intended to go back to her place afterward. They had taken a train there I guess from wherever she lived and she had the tickets, so he was in a bind. From what I understand, his boyfriend took him home and R stayed there for the rest of his trip. He ended up losing some clothes and other personal items that he'd not taken with him to the hotel.

Afterward, she started calling him and claiming that he owed her hundreds of dollars for staying with him and that he had a game she wanted back, things along those lines. As far as I know the girl got off easy either way because nobody pressed charges against her, they just left to be away from the whole mess.

So it was AB 2010 my first AB and me and one of my ex-friends, lets call her "ugly fat slut" were going down from our small town in NH to meet up with a this guy she wanted to start dating, lets call him "naive arrogant fuck" and would be rooming at the hotel there. I was very excited to go to this con for the first time since I'd lived nearby for a few years, but hadn't gone.

Anyway, ugly fat slut had a horrible problem with trying to date dudes just because of the characters they had been cosplaying and then getting mad at the guy for 'not being the character' and breaking up with them because of how much "they'd changed". In naive arrogant fuck's case, he had cosplayed cloud from Final Fantasy to win her attention.

Long story short:

Anyway, I have these 4, along with the Bloody Miku and Hambeast Prime comics.

I have to agree - some kind of name, ANY kind of name is better than A, B, C ect. Name them off who they've cosplayed, a show, anything, please. Makes it so much easier to follow.

i wasn't new to the con scene, i'd been to quite a few before. i was staying with a few friends and a few mutual friends that i didn't know. the girl who invited me, who i'll call kitten, was a little bit weebish but she was a really nice girl and booking a big room, so i couldn't say no.

it was a fairly large con, and i was planning on cosplaying homura akemi one day, and i brought along a few lolita things to mix and match for the other days. so the day before the con i get to the hotel, ready to unpack and meet the mutual friends i didn't know. i was pretty optimistic they would be nice, tolerable people.

when i get there kitten introduces me to the rest of the people, and they all seem pretty okay until i notice what can only be described as a small whale in cat ears and a stretched out corset and plaid miniskirt sitting on the corner of the bed furiously tapping away on a phone.

she turns around, does that awkward hetalia ~veee!!~ thing or whatever, squints and waves her hairy arm at me. i politely smile back. i didn't expect her to be much of a problem, i was used to dealing with weird people and weeaboos, but i was wrong.

so i'm getting to know everyone better, they all seem like pretty decent people. i start to unpack my bags a bit, make sure everything is in order, and i'm kneeling on the ground when i turn around because i had that....feeling something was behind me. i turn around and the weeaboo, who i'll call Miniskirt is behind me. she's practically breathing down my neck and i give her an awkward smile and ask her what's up. she does a squeal that gives me secondhand embarassment and pushes me out of the way to start rifling through my shit.

"oh anon-chan, your clothes are so sugoi! i wish i could afford this stuff!" i politely engage her, and find out that she's 20, still lives at home and is unemployed. i decide not to judge her too much, the economy's not great and what not, but something about her ordeal just strikes me as lazy. she goes into a little sob story about how she dropped out of nursing school because "it was too hard desu!" and blubber-sobs a little while i listen and nod my head a little, trying to re-arrange my dresses that her greasy paws had crumpled.

from then on, miniskirt decided we were best friends and clung on to me for the rest of the night. she was a huge hentai fan, mostly yaoi and shota-con it seemed, and she kept blubbering on and on and on about x and y pairing from x and y anime/manga/doujinshi. i was getting sick of her shit, but i grinned and bared it because i supposed she was just lonely and awkward and i could avoid her the next day.

we all decide to turn in for the night, but miniskirt-chan decides she wants to play her ds or psp or some game on her iphone in bed. i thank god we weren't sharing a bed because that girl just fucking stunk. but i still had to deal with the bright glow from her electronic and the sound effects and her squeals or groans when she passed a level or whatever she was doing. after a while another roommate asked her if she could shut it off and she whined and whined about how she wasn't tired. one of the other roommates, a blunt girl who i'll call Zelda seemed pretty tired and pissed off, and she bitched at miniskirt who finally complied. the whole ordeal left me a little restless, and i have insomnia to start out with, so i was having trouble falling asleep. eventually miniskirt fell asleep and i could hear her sleep talking and snoring loudly.

her hair was greasy and i could tell she hadn't showered or bathed today yet either because she still stunk and her pimply face was seriously shiny. she was also half naked and getting ready. she did some retarded embarrassed *anime girl* dance and acted all shy that people were seeing her disgusting blubber. it made me uncomfortable to watch.

she was cosplaying some homestuck character, the one in pic related. also the only one whose name i know because she would not shut up about him. so she was preparing her karkat cosplay. i don't hate homestuck, or the cosplayers, even though the younger kids can be annoying, but her cosplay sucked. it just looked like something she threw together the night before, seriously. she wasn't wearing a wig and her shirt had the cancer sign scribbled on in crayon or maker or something, and she had the horns or ears or whatever made out of what i'm assuming is construction paper. she was also using that greasy clown makeup they sell at walmart around halloween time.

To be fair, disregarding the contact lenses, the horns and the hair, that does look like something you could probably put together the night before, or at least in a day, a week at most if you haven't brought the materials/clothing yet. when i got to the room it was a mess. clothes and things were strung everywhere. apparently miniskirt chan was looking for her cell phone and couldn't find it. she was literally sitting on the ground like a child and doing her blubbery-sob while shitty makeup ran down her eyes. i helped her find it (it was under a pillow) and told her i'd like if she cleaned up the room. she just whined about how she was missing a meetup and that she had no time to do it, and shouldn't be expected to, and it wasn't her fault. i told her that i'm sure kitten would appreciate the room being cleaned since she booked it, and she just whined more and then hauled her lazy ass away . i cleaned half of the mess but i wasn't going to do all her dirty work for her, when it wasn't my problem anyways. i went back to the con.

eventually me and zelda meet back up again, and she says her and a few other people are going out to a sushi restaurant to eat. i say i'd be happy to join them but that i wanted to change into something more comfortable since my petticoat was itching me and my feet hurt. so zelda and i went back up to the room so i could change.

as we were walking through the level our room was on we heard commotion, but i was hoping for the best that it wasn't from our room. i still had a feeling that something horrible had happened and my fear came true.

there was also still the matter of the walls, pillows and bedsheets, so zelda called off dinner and she asked all the roommates to come up for an emergency meeting. kitten was devastated and i could tell, but she was way too nice and a bit of a pushover so she just said she'd pay whatever expenses it took to clean the hotel room. we later found out she had to pay $100 in damages, and that miniskirt didn't pitch in a penny.

i didn't really feel like staying in that room that night, and i honestly had had enough of the convention. i decided to go home early. i guess one good thing that came out of this was to never trust a weeaboo, no matter how innocent they seem, and i became friends with zelda afterwards which i guess is a plus.

I have one from the beginning of my cosplaying days, though it's pretty short.

I went to a local convention and I was cosplaying from Kingdom Hearts, this was 2008/2009 so KH was a big deal at the time. I was cosplaying Roxas with a couple of friends who were cosplaying Axel, Sora, and Demyx. I was 15 but my friends were older (Sora was 17/18, Axel and Demyx were in their 20s) so I felt pretty safe, even though it was only my second time cosplaying.

Now the convention was pretty big and we were all dressed well, so we got stopped for pictures quite a number of times, especially since we had all bothered to make our character's props (I had the Oblivion keyblade and my Sora had the Kingdom Key). As we're getting stopped to pose for pictures, I realize there's a girl sort of following us, because she's in EVERY crowd we stop in, and she must have gotten at least 10 pictures of our group by now without ever asking us (she just sort of jumped in whenever someone else asked) and I was starting to get a little worried, because this was kind of getting creepy.

Not technically a con story, but still weeaboo ridiculousness relating to the crazy-magnet guy I mentioned in a few posts near the start of the thread.

He's from the UK and would come stay with me for a week or two at a time every few months when I was living in my old apartment. I was living a little bit outside Cleveland and there's not a ton to do around me, particularly when it's nasty outside, so we spent an afternoon at the mall/shopping centers around there. We stopped at the Exchange (a sort of video game/movie/record reasle store) because he had a habit of picking up whatever games he wanted when he was stateside. Something about the way games are edited over there or coming out later, I can never remember exactly why. Point is, we were there and it ended up with me and him browsing the anime boxsets.

I had mentioned that I wouldn't mind picking up the Slayers box set eventually since it was the first anime I'd ever properly watched. So we're talking and looking at what else they have and I hear some girl start complaining about how terrible Slayers is and that she cant believe people like it.

I look over and see pretty much the exact definition of uncomfortable weeb. Greasy hambeast sort with a Death Note shirt and way too much bright red lipstick. I kinda glance at her and try to let it go. I try to pick the conversation back up and she kept muttering about whatever we talked about, not sure if she was actualy talking to us or herself. Around this time, my roommate catches back up with us. She's digging through the bargain bin next to the box sets glass case. She digs something out and mentions something along the lines of, "this is a really good example of early Japanese animation." (She actually said it this way, she liked to sound like an authority on pretty much anything she talked about)

Hambeast see this and glares, says something like, "Oh, so you're TOGETHER," and shoves her way into/past me, almost knocking me over. I'm a pretty hefty lady so there's no way this was an accident. My friend gets really pissed off at this. He really has no filter when he dislikes someone and he started going off. The way he does this is by talking very, VERY loudly about people while standing about a foot away from them. Normally, I get really embarrassed and feel horrible when he starts on this, but I don't think I ever appreciated him so much.

At the time I never would've thought there would be more to the story with this chick, but there ended up being another run-in with her a few months later. I take that back. There was one guy that gave me major creeper vibes at my last con. As a guy, nothing really happened, but another Trip or two ran into him, as well and had a similar experience.
Talking about his furry / Pokemon / other fanfics, how he was a writer in training and such. The most recent work of his was started while riding in the back of a police car - whatever that means.
He also kept eyeing girls at the con and making comments like, "I've gotta make a trip to the boy's room after this after seeing an ass like that, if you know what I mean."

Don't have the picture of him anymore, but he was in his 30-40's, wore denim overalls, was on the larger side and had a fishing hat. Wore it all 3 days of Kumoricon. Just a head's up to anyone else in the NW.

Basically it is a con of the genre 'gakuen' supposedly that means we have to roleplay an ordinary school day.

I'm also the fa/tg/uy who has fagged up your thread, I apologies if I need to.

Thing is, I somehow found out most of the school's staff was to be characters from Naruto, Bleach and other 'mainstream' animes. Well oh fucking well. I decided to apply as their "History" teacher playing the guy in the picture posted earlier.

The guy is important, why? Basically, he doesn't give a fuck. He throws chalk at students who talk in his class, he hits his students for breaking school rules, then scolding them, and basically he is a fish out of water character since all other teachers are very relaxed, which is why he is perfect: He - doesn't - give - a - flying - fuck!

The fact that I'm the history teacher is equally important. I'll be focusing on Japanese History... Japanese History 1930-1950: Second Sino-Japanese War and the Second World War tasty subject and the deaths of 53 million people under Japanese care (for reference, Nazi Germany killed 26 million in pretty much the same time span).

So, if there is just one or two japanophiles in my class, this will be a very nice wake up call to the history of "GLORIOUS NIPPON! xDDDDDDDDD", if there are none, I'll lay off the nasty rhetoric and keep it to a "let's get this over with attitude" but just one or two comments too many about "GLORIOUS NIPPON! xDDDDDDDD" and I'll be spewing hard pseudo-political rhetoric like I'm Milan Fraz on speed.

Hoping to make some weeaaboos cry. Yes, I AM a terrible person, I know! But I'll only get nasty if they need me to get nasty.
