I really like the wig she used for this. Wish it had a bit more flip throughout, but the texture looks adorable.

Roxy uses the Fallout 3 Sniper Rifle. Good reference, impossible to make.

Bostonstuck drama seems mostly caused by any two people having problems and them everybody else sticking their noses into it instead of letting the originals work it out like adults. At least the several instances I've seen on their tag/Facebook all follow that pattern. Result of 90% of them being in high school, really.

But god tiers without wings is perfectly fine as long as the cosplay itself looks nice. Wings are more of a bonus, since theyre understandable not to always have both in terms of canon and in terms of convenience.

I Imagine he has this kind of Sweenie Todd flip (3.) that derives from his fringe to go together with the rest of his hair which is styled to flow to his left. It is parted a bit under his right horn (1.) where it kind of doesn't want to play along. He has a flip (2.) which thinks all this Sweenie-Todd-fringe-flip-thingie is complete nonsense and thus ditch all that for a life of attention in his forehead. The hair framing his face are probably part of his fringe, but chances are they're hair from around his temples which just does not want to be part of this nonsense. That theory is actually better than what is drawn out here. Shucks. I'll have to revise it. (4.)

And I'd say you could really pull off anyone. I've seen good heavier cosplays of probably 80% of the trolls/kids. But if you're worried about sticking with common headcanons, a lot of people consider Aradia to be curvy, and Gamzee and Feferi to be a little chubby (I'm not sure of your gender so I don't know if you're comfortable with crossplaying, etc.).
When it really comes down to it though as long as it's a good cosplay your weight won't make a huge difference. Plus it doesn't sound like you're crazy overweight anyway.

What's the best material to make horns out of? So far I've only cosplayed the kids but I'd like to branch out and experiment with the trolls, although admittedly I don't know where to start. I know Heaven uses Sculpey and that's a no-no, so could anyone suggest a better alternative?

Lightweight air dry clays are your friend. I'm not a fan of the way Model Magic expands and rounds out, but some people are able to make amazing looking horns with the stuff. My preferred materials are Paper Clay, Delight, or Daiso's Soft Clay. Daiso's Soft Clay is cheaper than Delight, and even Model Magic, but harder to get your hands on if you're not near the Pacific Northwest, the Bay Area, or Socal.

I put a layer of these over carved bases of floral foam. After the clay dries, I sand it and fill in the cracks with excess clay, then gesso everything to prime them for painting.

Still deciding between these and a pair of high heeled shoes, the ribbon will be loosley tied in place of say a tie, not sure how to do with the brooch, if I should paint it or not.
Vest needs to be swapped or better fitted. Other than that I feel like there's not a lot of work on the outfit left. Still trying to find a wig and getting started with my horns.

Thank you so much! I usually just roll out model magic and then knead it like dough and let it settle for a day so it's not so droopy. The less seams you have in model magic, the less likely it is to crack. I really don't need to sand anymore when I do that and use controlled airflow on it when it dries. The only real downside is it takes a couple of weeks but they come out smooth.

so I've done plaster-wrap bases for masks in the past, and I usually work with paperclay on the top/front side. Doing jake/dirk gas masks right now, anyone know of a way to finish off the backside though? pic related, cracking plaster sans any type of sealant

I was trying to find a picture of a pair I had drying but this was the closest I could find. I mostly kept the weight near the middle of the horn to rest on and rested it against a tub, something smooth, and kept the tip propped up with another tub to help keep it's shape. After about 3 days of drying, it should be formed enough to handle and you can dry them normally and flat.

Good luck though! I hope you share progress on them.

And I will also share with you one on my biggest Mituna cosplay pet peeves; when the helmet, boots, gloves and bodysuit aren't the same yellow. This was, unfortunately, the only one I could find. The wig I intend to use is a lot brighter than this and in a completely different style (along with a respectful to canon cosplay, rather than pants and a T-shirt, of course.)
