How do I make new cosplay friends? I have a number of people on facebook that I'm friends with, but never really talk to because I'm too afraid they'll think I'm hitting on them or something when all I want is to talk to somebody with similar interests to mine. I'll see them once in a while at a con, but they'll always have an entourage of guys and I can't get anywhere near them.

I'm in the same situation- but most of my cosplay friends aren't in the same state or even country that I'm in.

Stop being self-conscious betafags and just go talk to people. If you're a fun, sociable person then that will come through and people won't judge you. If you're an autist weirdo who can't talk without spaghetti coming out of your pockets then girls' natural senses will go off and think you're a creepo.

Also, learn to present yourself. If you're a fat and unattractive then people aren't going to want to be around you. Lose weight, work on your appearance, and cosplay something sexy. The girls at cons will come to you rather than you going to them.
