Posted at the end of the last thread, trying again here.

I'm working on a Mami cosplay, but it seems like it's going to take a lot of time (30+ hours) to make the corset by hand. Less so since it's underbust, but do you ladies think it would be okay to buy a premade brown underbust corset - like this one but without those straps and in a more matte fabric - and add the Mami-specific bits? I know buying corsets off-the-rack is generally frowned upon because they generally don't fit quite right, and I do have the time and tools to make one myself.

Anon, I used this pattern (obviously I altered the top of it to make it into an underbust), and it worked really really well. But, don't use the shitty plastic boning. Flexisteel, which you can get online or in really nice fabric stores, works amazingly.
(Pic related- my Mami corset. I didn't like the look of leather, so I went with a faux-suede in the right color brown)

And I forgot to mention, if you use the flexisteel boning
1. It's kind of a pain to cut, so make sure you have or borrow a pair of wire cutters. And give yourself time to do it right
2. The edges will be sharp, so you'll have to coat them. I used this plastic dip stuff that you normally use to put handles and tools.

I'm so sick of unstyled Madoka wigs. you'd think normal pigtails wouldnt be that fucking hard but ooooooohh no, everyone just takes that shitty mess right out the bag and plops it onto their greasy heads.

i'm also tired of such ugly people cosplaying from this series. like maybe thats too harsh, but the artstyle in PMMM is all puni-plush kind of stuff with round faces and chubby cheeks. so tired of fugly chicks with gaunt, bony faces and big noses. urgh.

PMMM has a really exaggerated "cute" artsyle for its characters. Like its already been said, big eyes, small noses, round faces, and chubby cheeks.

I'm usually not a believer in the whole "Asians are better cosplayers" stereotype, but for Madoka in particular the character design just doesn't really favour anyone with sharp/exaggerated features.

Hey guys- Let's talk Mami's boobs.
I don't have the glorious boob. I have itty bitties, so a pushup would help, but not enough. Me on max pushup with 3-4 bras on still isn't big enough, and it's super uncomfortable.

So, fake tits! I'm lucky with Mami since she's all covered up, so there's not a problem with straps or something. Where should I look that isn't incredibly expensive? I'm going to look around some MtF stores, but since those are intended for day to day wear, I'm not expecting blowout prices.

My usual "rule" for anime is give it 3-4 eps since 1st episodes can be vastly different compared to the rest of the series.

Don't be intimidated by the corset anon, if you have some experience in sewing then you can make a corset. The key is that if you have never done it before to make a mock up and make sure it's fitted before you start on the actual corset. Use a sturdy fabric like a twill or denim for the mock up.

Another tip is, if you are not looking for actual waist reduction and you are just looking for structure (and some slight reduction/accentuation of your existing assets) you can bone with the really thick plastic cable ties you buy at the hardware store. You can also use them for your corset mock up so you know how many bones you need before you buy them.

Not that poster, but I have AA (and NA- nearly A) size breasts. There is literally so little flesh there there is nothing for a push up to, well, push up. Cutlets help a little but the issue is they don't create that "slope" on the ribcage that breasts have, instead it just looks like I have boobs sticking straight out from my chest, which looks incredibly fake.

I hope its okay to post this on a SFW board, it IS a picture from a medical website. But yeah, the pictures on the left are pretty much what my chest looks like.

Any tips for that? It seems like really the only thing I could do is just bite the bullet and buy post masectomy or MTF breasts.

If you want cleavage, you have to shove as much flesh as you have towards the centre and up, which may require judicious use of tape. You can shade this with bronzer to try and enhance the appearance of it. You then make the shape of boobs either using nubras/push up bras/padding/fake boobs.

If you just need to look like you have big breasts, then get a full coverage bra in your chosen size and pad it out. I also use my chest guard for the appearance of larger boobs, but there's no point buying one unless you also use it for martial arts since there are much better and cheaper ways of doing it.

It's those weird silicone chicken fillet bras. You will need more than one. The trick is in how you position them. The first set should be far apart, so you can pull them together and that will pull all the skin to make a cleavage. Then the next set will start building up on that, so you place it a bit lower than the first set and at a more twisted angle. You can keep layering the bras, but it looks weird after about 4 of them. Then you put on a padded/maximizer bra

I've been thinking about cosplaying Kyubey for a while, but none of the human designs I've seen of him have really appealed - either they're cute little girls or just not alien enough for my liking.

I wouldn't go by most cosplayers, there hasn't been a really accurate one so far... the one that was just posted was really pretty but missing an entire underskirt and other details.

There's a design page in the madoka artbook, and one figma Godoka and one full resin statue that are both accurate and well detailed you can get big pics of, I have a ton I'll put in the folder.

they are extremely light, and I have a cage for inside my skirt that is going to hold it out because crystals or not that much fabric isn't going to stand out without underpinnings of some kind.
