For me it really depends on the style. I think short hair looks adorable on country and casual loli, but it is admittedly harder to pull off with the more over the top looks.

I think the problem with it is that pixie uts don't really look good with bows/headbands, so that leaves the head really naked (unless a hat is worn) and with sweet or gothic, it may make the look imbalanced.

So yeah. If you're doing classic or something simple, why not try a cute straw hat or those bowler hats that some lolis wear? put a flower or two in it and it'll probably look very cute. If it's sweet or something along those lines I'd wear a wig, just to be able to even it out with headbands/bows.

Hats and braids! I don't really have the thin problem (it's on the thinner side, though) but I know the feels of having pin-straight hair that won't hold a curl for a minute.

In this outfit, I braided my hair around where the hat met my head. Other times, I braid my hair down in two and pin them up underneath the hat. If I don't wear a hat, I usually rock a sockbun or crown braids. I never wear my hair down.

I've thought about getting an electric perm, but I'm terrified of it turning out like a poodle perm. It might be something that you could look into though!

Well she is not mainly into lolita, she experiments with lot of diferent styles (scene, punk-whatever-rock, some decora-styled kind of jfashion etc.) so this is why her hair aren't much lolitable... But i just find it interesting...
