My attempt at gothic lolita?
Any tips? Ive been told so far more foundation and blush and also to have mascara and eyeshadow. Any other suggestions?

Lol you could try wearing a lolita dress, that'd be a good start. If you're not a troll I would suggest applying your eyeliner more cleanly and stick with black or jewel tone colors when picking out a dress.

Tbh i hate having no black in an outfit. My makeup does suck. I need to buy better makeup too. I feel i dont look right in dresses and theyre more expensive aswell.

Lolita isn't like gal where you could skate by with random clothes as long as you have the makeup & hair down. Lolita has a specific silhouette. You can be lolita without the makeup, but you can't be lolita without the clothes.

1) If you're going by the picture you posted, >>6423744, that is not lolita. The skirt is too short. You need a petticoat underneath for the poof, but that skirt is too short to even need one.

2) Animal ears are not lolita unless you are going for an OTT look, and even then it is frowned upon and should be used only sparingly.

3) Tank tops are not lolita. Lolita emphasizes modesty. Of course this is not always the case but befor eyou can break the rules you need to learn them. Your outfit needs to have your chest & shoulders covered.

3) You're only lolita from the knees down.

4) For Gods sake learn some research, how to do "proper lolita" is not fucking hard and just takes a few google searches.

Pic related, it's a proper lolita. Look at the silhouette - skirt is very full, goes down to her knees. She needs a petticoat to puff it out. She is for the most part covered.

Lolita is kind of a more Victorian, conservative style. No skirt or dress will be shorter than knee length, no cleavage will be shown off. Think frilly blouses and dresses with a lot of bows and poofy skirts.

Tbh my first outfit is visual kei. The skirt is semi long and i recently got a new top and am buying a choker once i get paid. Im missing the shoes. My other shoes dont quite match and my boots broke.
