okay taobao thread, I'm going to do a christmas order to get all my shopping done in one fell swoop. Friends were easy, I've got stuff picked out for almost all of them; but how even buy for family.

Basically they're all pretty generic people, so throw some ideas or links for cute/interesting crap at me? I've got two uncles who like stereotypical rich middle aged white guy stuff like golf and fishing, two aunts (a high-powered businesswoman and the other works for a schoolboard), a set of retired grandparents (grandmother is really into yoga retreats and shit like that), a jock teenage boy cousin and a newlywed female cousin. As you can see I was not kidding about generic.

There must be some kind of cool yoga/new age/etc thing that's exclusive to asia, but I have no idea where to start with keywords. For the female cousin I'd definitely want to get some his and hers type stuff and I've run across tons of that on taobao before but never on purpose so no idea on that search term wise either. Aunts/uncles/boy cousin I'm totally lost so open to any suggestions there.

If no one can, you should be able to find something decent with the search term but I'd definitely go for a store with a rating in the crowns to avoid really terrible knock offs.

here's the gist:

all of the artka stuff was really nice as far as craftsmanship and fabric goes, and the fits were good considering the riskiness of some of these pieces and that pretty much all of their clothing comes in one size

still, some of the stuff just has a weird shape, make sure you get a good look at all of the photos, their model tends to overpose some things

i wouldn't recommend most of it if you have wider shoulders (in regards to the asian women these garments are designed for), my shoulders are on the narrow side of average, and i'll have to alter at least one garment (pic related) because the shoulders are so narrow that it makes the sleeves fall short

Here is what I recommend. I'm sure you've already done this, but just in case: Stand up and put your larger foot on a piece of paper. Stand straight just like you normally would and bend down and trace your larger foot keeping the pencil straight down from the edge, don't angle in or out with the pencil, just straight down. Measure the longest toe to the heel and then measure the widest parts, both in CM (you can draw a rectangle around the tracing to help with the length measurement, as you wouldn't want to draw a diagonal line from toe to heel, so you could just draw a straight line from your heel down to the edge of the rectangle, please see terrible paint picture for reference). Then, send these measurements to your preferred SS and ask them specifically 'What size does the shop recommend for these measurements?' See what they say!

Haha, I know that the original shoes had some kind of scent, like strawberry or something? I haven't actually... smelt? Mine. So I can't say what they smell like hahaha. All I can tell you is they came in a VW box (which was pretty banged up due to shipping probably) and have the stamp in the heel and the golden lettering on the soles. I have never seen the originals so I can't tell you how spot on they are at all however. I've seen plenty of comparison videos on conterfiet knives and what not from taobao and the differences are EASY to pick out if you know what the originals look like, so I assume the shoes are just as easy to tell that they are fake, but like I said, best quality shoes I've gotten in this order and very comfy!
