A friend and I are trying to cosplay as Dipper and Mabel from Disney's Gravity Falls. We'd like to use this sweater, but don't know how to get it to light up like that. At first, I thought it was LED. But it glows like there's a bulb inside each star and the rainbow.

OK, there was a trend of making sweaters light up with short strings of Christmas lights running on batteries (C batteries, for longer life). Most craft stores (your Joann's, etc.) carry short strings of Christmas lights that run on batteries for tiny trees. LEDs are better for battery life, but incandescent would work too.
