All right, I'll break the ice. Saturday I went to Pirates of Emerson (a local haunted house) and one party as Black Widow, then went to another party and changed into Poison Ivy for my friend's Bat-villains group. I wanted to be Catwoman but they said they already had one so I spent hours gluing leaves onto a swimsuit...and then she came as something else. FFFFFFFFF

Ah well. I had a blast at all three events, and now I have another /co/splay to polish up and wear to a con. Hopefully I'll have more photos soon.

For a red lip? Rimmel does a pretty cheap lipstick collection promoted by Kate Moss. It comes in a black tube and has a few shades of deep red. I have 01 and 10, 01 is brighter and 10 is deeper. There is at least one more vibrant red in this line. It has a classic finish, not glossy and not matte.

It lasts all day for me and every time I wear it sales associates ask me what brand it is. If I know I'm going to eat/drink while wearing it I do one layer, set it with a loose powder (transparent is best but light colors will work) and then do another coat on top. you could even apply a thin layer of powder if you need it to be matte.

I'll look in to Rimmel! I tend to stay away from that brand because I had a bad reaction to their eyeshadows, but if I dont have to spend a lot for a lip color Im not going to wear often it would be great.
I'll check it out, thanks for the info! I hadnt thought about setting the color I have with powder, but its a -very- soft color that smudges at the slightest touch.

Revlon's Matte True Red. It's fantastic, and since it's a true red it looks good on nearly everyone.

I would suggest applying it in a relatively thin layer, blotting it with a tissue or paper towel, applying another layer (Still relatively thin), then blotting again. You can do this more times if you like, but this is enough for me. You could also place a tissue over your lips, then powder them THROUGH the paper if you want it super matte. Or you could apply a gloss on top if you like that look, but it won't last nearly as long. You could also preface the first step with a red lip liner, but if you have a steady hand it's not necessary.

Where I am from (Germany) Halloween isn't widely celebrated. There are some horromovies on TV, people decorate but the trick-and-treating stuff isn't really a thing sadly, I'd really love to do that at some point in my life!
We celebrate carnival so Halloween here is mostly reduced to scary things, especially in costumes.
Anyway, a couple of friends and me still put together outfits or just "scary" makeup just to entertain each other, plus we'll "party" together tomorrow night by basically eating food and putting makeup on each others faces.

tl;dr: no party because, But have a selfpost.

So hey, who's out partying and who's done for the night? I stayed in and passed out candy, and now it's raining so I don't think I'm going to be doing anything else.

The best costume of the night was the kid who was dressed as (I shit you not) the Party Rock Robot. He got extra candy from me. I wish I had a photo, but it's kind of creepy to take photos of other people's kids and all.

I finished my *~first ever real cosplay~* today. Wore it to work since we were encouraged to dress up. My boss gave me some candy, and I got lots of comments on the wig. Walked home in the rain, soaked my wig, and didn't get any trick or treaters. :( Then I watched I Saw the Devil with my partner.

My costume was a fairly botched, rushed job. I was going as a dead sailor and rather lazily thought I'd be okay with a grey face and body paint slathered everywhere. It looked good in the mirror at home, but when I went with my friend to get alcohol, holy shit, I realized how awful it looked. I had to scrub it all off in my friend's bathroom fighting off tears. Cue me having to redo my face with crappy make up as I left all of mine at home.

We went to a party and I felt so depressed seeing at all the intricately done costumes, clearly meticulously planned. I was oh so jelly. Next year though, next year will be good.

I threw together a Rule 63/"casual" Flash. I was thinking blonde for Barry (and I really just wanted an excuse to wear a wig.....) but I think the reflective sunglasses kind of overturn that, because Barry preferred that people could actually see his eyes when he like rescued them and stuff and I dunno I'm just quibbling over tiny shit that isn't that important hahaha.

At this party, where I'm clearing having WAY TOO MUCH FUN, we had a nerd, a lawn flamingo, a suffragette (<33), Minnie Mouse, a specifically-Anne-Rice-Kinda-Vampire-Not-Twilight-Kind, a 70's disco dancer, and a "dead man walking"/Chargers guy (this is NorCal, we don't root for the Chargers here!!). Also not pictured: a Mexican and a "pothead" (he was literally wearing a pot on his head, along with fake weed around his neck)

At another party I went to, we had that "Aliens" guy from the History channel hahaha. Also a Superwoman, Captain Kirk, and Nymphadora Tonks. Fun tiiiiiiiiimes~~~
