Style Savvy Trendsetters, I've pre ordered it with amazon prime so hopefully it'll be here by tuesday. The competitions from the demo are so fun, and it's actually got a lot of lolita esque items as well as some weeby items (like this purple cat jacket and bear hoodie)
Fashion Savvy is like, the only "girly" game I absolutely love. (no animal crossing does not count)
also I ordered a few studio brushes + this "eye refresher" from E.L.F since they had 50% off everything studio. Hope the eye refresher helps reduce my dark circles!

The bangs are actually at the post office down the road from my apartment but because it was "registered mail" they are requiring me to be home at the time of delivery (I was at school when they attempted delivery) or go pick it up starting tomorrow.
The circle lenses were shipped a few days ago, so I'm thinking another week to week and a half, they're from Pinky Paradise.

My order from Tosen on Rakuten just arrived and I've got to say, don't buy from them. They were recommended to me by a friend and by an anon in one of the past kimono threads.

The "cotton" juban I ordered is synthetic and feels like a shower curtain (the reviews on the page rated it high, but another, more expensive juban was described as being "like a raincoat", so maybe they sent the wrong one). They also sent me the black version of my boyfriend's yukata instead of the navy, even though they're listed under completely different pages. They also completely left out one of the obi I ordered for him, even though I was charged for it. Granted, it was the plain blue one, so I'm not crushed, since it wouldn't have matched, but that's $15 down the tubes.

Everything else in the order is as it should be, thank God. I'm debating whether wading through their horrible English (and making them wade through my horrible Japanese) is worth requesting an exchange of the yukata I ordered.

That's kind of what I'm feeling at this point. Nothing I bought that was flubbed was too expensive except for the juban (and even that isn't expensive by juban standards), because this is his first time letting me dress him up. I'll think it over, but I probably won't bother. I just won't order from them again unless something I'm after is 1) super specific/doesn't come in multiple colours and 2) is an obi. The obi I *did* receive are badass, even the cheapest one.

Weird. I have literally never had a problem with Tosen, and I've ordered from them five or six times. Its mostly been zori or obiage, small stuff, the only big thing I ordered was a yukata set.

I'm a guy and I've always wanted to try being a brolita. I bought at a pink dress/blouse/bow combo at Baby for their new Harajuku store thing, some socks at AP and a wig at Bodyline. The Bodyline store lady (who was incredibly unhelpful btw, that store is awful) told me I had to get shoes online so I am now waiting for my sizes 270 shoes. Hope they fit.

I can't wait to try it all on! I just need to read up on makeup I guess...

I want to murder my mailman... I got a phone call during my lunch break from an unknown number. Thankfully I bothered to answer (I normally don't).

It turns out a neighbor received one of my bodyline packages. I have a tracking number for three parcels. Now... I'm just freaking out. Because if my mailman is just randomly handing out my mail to random people... not everyone is as honest and I'm worried my stuff is now gone forever. But what really kills me is that the mailman didn't knock on the person's door... no, he fucking STUFFED my package in the stranger's mailbox.

I just went to the post office to file a complaint. But... it isn't enough. I want blood.

Just three or so months ago two other packages were supposedly sent to me and I never received them. Now I'm starting to reconsider my initial consideration that the people were scams... it might have just been my mailman being an incompetent fool.

I had so much trouble with UPS on literally a package worth about $8.

First it was delayed because the truck broke down. Then it was delivered, I got home, my package was GONE. I had delivery confirmation. Checked, UPS never bothered to knock or ring my doorbell. So they just left the package at the door and somebody stole it.

I had to call the company I ordered from and get a replacement sent out. They do two days. I sign up through UPS to have it sent to a UPS facility for me to pick up instead of delivering to my house.

The guy had to walk to the back and actually found my package sitting plain as day. When they delivered it, they never put my package in the system.

So fuck UPS and fuck whoever stole my package.

I would not be so pissed about this, but my land lady replys to my e-mail going and I fucking quote (After spelling my name wrong even though my name is in my fucking email) "I spoke to the mailman today and he is (and has been) aware of the change on the mailboxes and has put your mail in the correct box – 'old apartment number' "

Apartment mail systems are shit in general, I get all of my packages delivered to my parent's house now since they're only about an hour away. My apartment building is 100 years old and has no actual mail room, just a bunch of mail boxes on the wall so if you get a package via USPS they just sit them in the floor by the mail. If I have a friend lace me in, the shape I get from their corsets is awesome. If I'm doing it myself, I can't get it tight enough to avoid the tube shape. It's frustrating. Is it the same wig? How is it? Because I've seen different versions of it on taobao [one for Nero and one that's silver for some reason] and they all look so amazing. Probably the best Saber wig I've ever seen, and I've owned a few in the past. Definitely worth the $70 with shipping. I've paid more for things I'll probably be using a lot less.

Waiting on a new wig. Been waiting for four weeks now.

However, it's not that it hasn't been shipped. It was shipping and got to my state back on the 20th. It made its way closer to me and ended up in the next city over.

Where it was processed twice over the course of a few days.

The last eBay update says it was processed on the 24th, and hasn't updated since then. Using the tracking code on the USPS site, it says it departed the sorting plant instead on the 24th.

Either way, it's the 29th now and it still hasn't made it the arduous one hour that it takes to get to my city.

Is is at all possible for me to contact the post office to see what's up? Or will they just shrug their shoulders like they always do?

I live in Canada, it said "in sorting facility" for like 5 days and then when it crossed the border, I was able to track it from Canada post.

I lucked out and found Amy Pond's wedding dress on ebay in my size! ...or so I thought.

Just got it and it seems that while the listing had US8, they must have meant UK8. An 8 I am, but UK8 is US 4-6 which I am not. I spent $380 on buying and shipping it and they don't take returns, so I've scheduled an appointment with a tailor for next week to see what I can get done.

I've wanted to use this dress as my actual wedding dress since I saw the episode, so I'm hoping it can be let out enough to wear, but I'm fairly sure they can't let it out THAT much.

It doesn't have a corset back is the sad thing, it's a side zipper. The dress fits my hips and my waist fine, but I've got a bit of a man-ribcage and even after flattening my boobs out I couldn't get it zipped up higher than just past my waist line, there's at least a 4 inch gap of "no zip" at the top of the bust line.

Since I don't plan on reselling it (though a friend has asked if I could do a quick Amy shoot since I have a red wig), I'm considering asking them to alter it to a corset back anyways since I know it'll be a cold day in hell before I find it again.

Here's some photos I have for reference of the dress. Here you can see the side (I circled the zip area) and the back. I'm really concerned about the overlay, too, but my mother said they might be able to take some fabric from the train to fix the overlay.

Ordered some embroidery thread that shipped about a week ago, only to find out now that it was either lost by USPS or mis-delivered (the tracking number I was given I was told "might be wrong" which is crap and the address was right as well). Now I need to order more embroidery thread on top of replacing what was lost, and I'm very hesitant to do so because of what happened this time.

Other than that, I am now waiting for lots of fabric (for like 3 costumes), fabric samples/swatches, storage for my sewing supplies and 2 bookcases so I can finally put away my books properly.

I recently moved and I can't find the majority of my DS games which pushed me to buy some games I've been wanting for awhile. I'm also waiting for lots of clothes, some of it lolita gear.

Does anyone else find themself buying lolita less often? It used to be 90% of what I spent my extra money on, now it's more like 20%. I don't know if it's because the sales posts never seem to have the items I want anymore (maybe because my wardrobe has grown a lot over the past couple of years or maybe because LJ sucks) or if it's because I'm losing interest. It's probably a combination of both but after all the time and money I've invested into lolita, I really don't want to outgrow it. I've only worn a fraction of my closet. Okay, mini rant to myself ends now. Which games do you guys like best from my haul? They're all rather casual which is what I needed.

I've found you have to get specialty chocolate to get any that tastes remotely nice. Whenever my dad goes to Europe on business trips, we always ask for chocolate.
Not that I never eat a Hershey's bar, but it definitely doesn't taste nearly as good as Milka.
Maybe having such a huge variety has watered down peoples' tastes and they don't have such high expectations haha.

Still waiting on these. The first time I ordered the hat and headdress, I didn't realise that the shop wasn't open for orders yet. It said early October, so ... figured they were up and open, but they weren't. NOW they're on their way.

Corset was backordered, so still waiting on that. All the TaoBao stuff is in the process of being ordered, so hopefully that'll all go through okay.
