Alright, so for halloween this year I want to be a porcelain doll. I'm currently looking for a dress and accessories online. I want a nice lolita dress, preferably knee-length, like the ones they sell on Milanoo. Only problem is that all the ones I've found are damn expensive... so /cgl/, got any links to websites where I can find similar decent-quality dresses and/or accessories? I'd be forever grateful.

Pic related; it's a good example of the type of dress I'm looking for.

Also, here's a picture of me (except I have full bangs now, which is pretty suitable for the doll look). If anyone has advice for makeup/hair etc. that'd be great too.

Well, first off, Milanoo's a bad place to buy from. You're lucky if you buy something nice, but most of their stuff is just very bad.

Try bodyline.co.jp. They have nice lolita clothing for good prices. Very good for starting out in the style, or just buying a one-time dress.

You will need falsies, blush, pale or nude lip color, and enough foundation to make your skin look flawless. Voluminous shiny curls for bonus points.

Yeah, I got that impression. I probably wouldn't buy from there even if I had the money... it's just an idea of the kind of dress I'm looking for.

Okay, hang on, checking that out right now.

Curls, curls in pigtails, or braids?

Either would work. What shoes/socks are you planning on?

You're bangs seem very thin looking..
I'd try and pull more hair forward and cut them into bangs.

I get you. It's one of those sites that someone would find first off, since ads for them are everywhere.

Ahh, they're actually quite thick, it's just the way they're swept about in than picture. Here's another.

Classic socks with the ruffled lace at the top, most likely, and I'm not sure about the shoes. Probably mary janes of some type

Bodyline has cute shoes for cheap, as well as dresses. Have a look and see if you find anything you like. What color scheme are you going with?

I haven't decided yet. I'm open to most anything, really. Probably a pastel blue or pink or a soft floral pattern.

Pink & sax are good choices, floral can be hit or miss. Oh, and remember that more lace =/= more cuteness.

Hey, OP you are so cute.

I think this dress would work really well for what you want, and it's only $33
But they only have it in the light blue colorway left but it's a light blue x pink design so it's still really good.

Any of the shoes on this site are also fine.

If this is just for a costume no petticoat is fine, I don't recommend any of the Bodyline petticoats anyway. But if you want some poof you can go to a local costume store and get one, they have some that work okay for like a couple of wears.

As for makeup and hair I can link you to tutorials if you'd like.

But for hair do you want to style with a flat iron, curling iron, curling wand, rollers, heated rollers, etc?
Basically what tools do you have to work with?

Wow /cgl/, I'm surprised. I'd have thought you guys would've told her to fuck off because lolita isn't a costume.
Good for you guys; not doing that this time.
