Lets discuss which pieces are replicas, which pieces have you bought?
Pictures of coords that are "the bomb"! (cant tell its Bodyline)
What are the shoes like?!
And anything else pertaining to Bodyline!

Made this coord based on suggestions in a collage thread. Still need some bracelets or something but it's cute. I have a lavender bow ring to go with it, but I forgot to add it to my collage.

Also I just got the squirrel party jsk in lavender. Because it's lavender, I can wear it with the same stuff I use to coord this jsk.

Yes that was me!

The squirrels JSK is adorable. Even the excess lace around the bodice doesn't look too gaudy. It's nice to know there's plenty of stuff to buy from Bodyline that's cute. For a while I was worried I'd be a "Bodyline ita" or something, but it's all in how you coord, right?

>>6281935
Ugh, if this wasn't so long I'd buy it. Makeup was my big obsession before lolita, and the print is adorable.

I'm average height (5'4) and their JSKs are either perfect (just above the knee) or too short (mid-thigh). I've owned quite a lot of them, but not that dress or Squirrels, sadly.

>> No.6282249

Things I have bought and thought were decent for the price:
-L048 (high waisted gingham strawberry skirt)
-L130 (floral cameo skirt, back when it was $25 though)
-L344 (striped dress in purple x white, for $33, quite high waisted though)
-L076 (blouse. Comparable to some of the brand ones I have.)
-L109 (crown cardigan in black, back when it was cheaper)
-L274 (bolero with detachable sleeves, not worth current price but was ok when cheaper)
-P150 (lightweight coat in the punk section, definitely worth the $33)

Things that were a bit average:
-L045 (cherry dress, the zipper broke the third time I wore it)

My favorite is probably Antique Clocks.

But I'm in loveeeeee with pic related.
The thing about these prints though is that they'll always be recognizable as Bodyline, so I guess no matter how well you coordinate it, you'll always kinda know.

I'd like a nice non-print OP (Preferably pink or red.) to wear, but I'm really unsure of what's ita and what isn't; can anybody help me find something cute? There was one I liked, but it had these wig things sewn onto the back and that sort of put me off.

I feel like it would be more like a babydoll/empire line dress on larger breasts since there's not a lot of length in the bodice at all. I own the size M and at 80-81cm bust and 158cm tall I personally find it sits above my natural waist. If you look at the model picture it's high waisted on her as well.

In my opinion, if you suit empire line/high waisted dresses, I think it'd be fine. However at a bust measurement of 92cm I'd probably go for the 2L to make sure of avoiding boobloaf, since boobloaf is usually worse when you're near max measurements.

Also, something looks different about the one in your picture than mine. Did you have it altered at all or am I just going crazy?...

Hmmm, no, the dress doesn't have alterations. I bought it straight from Bodyline last September (first dress) and the only thing I did to it was gather the skirt in the front and the back using the ribbons. I only own a blouse and it's black,
so a bolero was my only option. I'm more into gothic than classic.

This is what I wore last Xmas out to lunch with my family. Tights (basic black ones, nothing special), skirt and cardigan are Bodyline. The tights aren't anything special, and the skirt is actually part of a set with a capelet. The skirt/capelet is is only meh quality, but I freaking ADORE that cardigan. It's soft, thick and has very pretty gold embroidery along the collar.

I also own 2 pairs of boots from Bodyline. Love them too, but just be aware that if you have giant calves like mine, it can be a tight fit.

OMG you guys are so nice! The wig is indeed a GLW spiral wig - I've only worn it that one time and I just kept it in the bag until it was needed and I sprayed it with oily sheen spray to keep it from getting frizzy. I'm also OCD about my wigs whenever I'm at meetups so I was constantly recurling the hair with my fingers that day. I bought the shoes from Hot Topic maybe... 10 years ago? I've had to take them to shoe repair stores at least twice now because the soles will come unglued from time to time.

Thanks, guys. I just ordered a pearl headband, a cameo necklace, and I know I have a pearl bracelet laying around somewhere in my jewelry box. I'll see what I can do about the faux flowers.

Does anyone know where I can find some lacy tights? Usually I just use plain white or black ones since they go with pretty much everything and wal-mart which is the only place in this town that has tights for some reason obviously doesn't have a lot of selection.

I know I have a few knee high socks that are lacy but I just find tights more flattering on me.

Bodyline's L482 skirt is godsend. The only disappointing things about is how short it looks on me and how easily wrinkled it gets.

Their 259 shoes are also amazing. I've worn them a few times and there haven't been any scuffs. They're also a lot comfier than I thought, especially since I go up many flights of stairs everyday.

I also have a pair of their bloomers and they're surprisingly comfortable. The only problem with them is I don't know where they're supposed to sit; on my hips or my waist?

You need a different wig, the toxic pink and curls really do not flatter your face. The huge bowtie neckbow also makes your neck look short and face look round. Better would be a beige long bob wig with side-bangs.

First worn photo I've seen of this dress, I really like it!

Hnnng. I would get it if it came in a size S - the M size is 12cm too big in the bust and waist.

It's been gone for at least the last....3 years? It's a Melody Doll replica and I've seen people selling it for about $70 on comm_sales - originally it was $22 iirc

actually I think it was originally $44, but it went on sale for $22 at one point during the actual 50% off sales bodyline used to have

Check fabric content and look at the lace. I have L076, which is super comfy and amazing.

So are there bodyline blouses that would actually fit a busty lady without help from compressors? I would wear a size medium shirt but the girls bump that size up to about a xl.

How busty? Check the measurements of the blouses, some come in a 4L and up to 110cm bust.

>> No.6302007

107cm. That's getting close to the 110cm limit there, think it will be alright?

It should be, but be prepared to need to sew snaps in between the buttons to avoid gaping. In terms of waist measurement, these blouses are supposed to be fairly loose on the waist, so don't worry too much.

>> No.6303110

>>6302696
Sewing in snaps between the buttons.. That is something I'm all too familiar with. So no big deal, I was just hoping I wouldn't have to.
As for the waist, I'm probably going to have to take it in, then, if they're loose on people already.

Well the ones that go up to bust 110cm have waist ties to pull the waist in smaller, if you're worried about that. The ones that I think will probably fit you are L075 and L009. L075 is fully shirred so the waist will go quite small due to the elastic, and L009 has waist ties to make it more fitted. The size 4L of L114 might fit since it appears to be a knit fabric, and it has corset lacing to make it smaller at the waist.
