Staffing/helping out at a con

I may be a staff at the mid-sized local con.
I genuinely want to help out, but I'm also trying to get to know people in the scene for future.
Is it a stressful job? Do you make useful contacts?

Listino, it's all part of my genius two-level strategy - you go as a staffer one day to know who the important people are and to get aquainted with the organisers, and then as a cosplayer the other day and show the mamacitas that you're with the "in" crowd

The people running the con are not the "in" crowd. No promises that being staff will get you anything.

Also it's way more helpful (and memorable) for the con staff if you help all weekend. + Reach out after the convention to look into helping plan next year if you're that big about it.
