Where do you people live? Like not the region but the type of environment: First-tier city proper, second-tier city proper, Sunbelt suburb.... Etc. I get the idea thet /cgl/ types live in really bland suburbs. Not creatures of the city.

I made a poll. "Urban core" is defined as a place that is urban in character (density, grid pattern) and at or near the center of a metro area. So all of the boroughs of NYC and Hudson County would be "Tier 1 city urban core." Outer Raleigh proper, though, with its cul-de-sacs and strip malls, would be more like a suburb though, since it is suburban in character.

small towns have their own economy and character not entirely defined as being in the orbit of a big city.

Tier 2 city. I was surprised it’s considered tier 2 because I keep meeting people who seem to be impossibly rich, but that’s probably the effect of our local megacorp. It ain’t no NYC.

Tier 1 suburb. Hard to say since we technically have a downtown and a couple main streets, but the city nearby has merged into us and now the suburb is separated but apart of the city nearby.

I'm also from the lolita sect here and I've always lived in the suburbs of South Florida. Idk what tier my city is but it's pretty boring. I'm leaving for college this fall though so idk where I'll be living by then. I'd really like to leave this hellhole of a state if I can get enough scholarship money to go to school up north...

No, you shouldn't be surprised. It's well known a lot of people here posting are from the cities. You'd know that had you ever popped in a careers thread.

>> No.10841432 [DELETED]

>>10828008
Adding to >>10841430, there's always outliers, but you also need to recall this is board for hobbies and fashions that often times require one to tout the paycheck that nets you city living. Especially once you recall a lot of these people wearing the fashion and dressing up have in no way put themselves in financial holes to do so. Your surprised by your results because it simply wasn't what you expected it to be. You just made a wrong assumption, now you know otherwise.

>> No.10841433

>>10828008

To explain that, if you browsed the careers thread, certain occupations like wait staff would strike you there's no way someone in a rural area could be affording their hobbies on a waiter's income... unless they lived in the city. Also, multiple people cite 'inheritance' (oil), exceptionally large unnamed money firms and financial sector careers, and at least one perpetually posts they're pretty much a stockbroker or something on wall street. Point is, the career threads we have posted regularly would actually have told you most live in a major metropolis.

You are just shocked that your assumption was proven wrong, but hey, now you know so you got what data you wanted, OP. It doesn't shock me at all the data you got reflecting most come from major cities.

>> No.10841439

>>10828008
And not that it's really important, but... we do have users from Russia and Eastern Europe and such on this board, much like a lot of people from China and South Korea, a disproportionately high number of them live in big cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg. Seoul too I've seen listed. A lot of net users from certain countries are almost always from the big metropolises.

I just don't know how many of them will really be posting or voting right now. I dunno' much about Ukraine's fashion scene, I just know Russia, South Korea, and China all have some lolitas and j-fashion wearers.
