Egl confessions time,
please confess your sins and repent

>> No.10771752

More of an unpopular opinion than a confession but I think lolita looks better on really leggy tall girls than it does short girls

>> No.10771762

Neither look good because the bodice proportions are out of whack. Tall girls look stupid when the bodice only just gets past their boobs and doesn't sit at their natural waist

Nah short girls look fine the fashion was literally made for slightly short women.

Except long cuts by AP and IW those can burn in hell.

Short girls have the same issue except with bodices and skirts hanging too low. It looks bad. This fashion honestly fits girls about 5'3" the best, though I would consider that an average height and not short

No. It fits petite bodies fine. If it's below 4'9 then maybe there is a fucking issue, but no. Tall chicks literally make the dresses look like they are wearing toddler dresses, while their arm fat and boobs bunch up the bodice.

I’m starting to get really burnt out wearing lolita. I meet up with my friends every once in a while… but it’s just so much work to put everything on and take it off only to wear it for a few hours. Yep. It's all garbage. Covid killed cheap shipping, probably permanently.
I used to check all the sites multiple times a day, and into the night, but now when something good pops up, it's just some faded, stretched out dress for $500+.
I guess I'm lucky to have a big wardrobe already, because joining the fashion right now would suck, and even stuff that used to be super easy to find is nowhere to be seen right now.

TFW....New girl joined my comm and after seeing all the stuff about exposing SWers recently she wanted to 'come clean' so we didn't accidentally encounter her life as a former SWer and use it against her. And of course TB was the reason she was groomed into selling her body while being a minor. I'm honestly not surprised since TB has a large following of minors. I feel so bad for our new comm member. At least everyone is being supportive of her and positive in regards to her moving on from SW.

The nice things is lolita fashion and cgl were the gateway to her being a respectable woman. Thanks anons for saving this girl from a miserable life she was heading into.

goes to show proportions are everything, not absolute height.
with that said, i think lolita is one of the most forgiving style for short/stocky-legged girls. the silhouette conceals most of the leg, and imo chunkier lolitas can look cute too. compare with normie fashions, it's much harder to pull off short shorts and tight-fitting dresses as a stubby-legged girl.

lolita is a fashion made specifically for the average japanese woman height of 5'2" which is why short girls, like fanny, look good in it. once you hit about average american height of 5'5" - 5'6", things start end up looking wrongly proportioned and too short.

Got what fucking cringe teenager shit.

Who talks about this kinda shit in a normal lolita comm? Most of us are over 20 adults with real jobs to start with so no one deals with whatever lame weird shit this is.

Also having a twitch isn't even ethotting it's the most sfw way to have dumb simps spend money on you without having to show anything because popular female streamers can't even wear a tanktop without a ban. The most popular female streamers are average looking modestly dressed women and actual cartoons with homely girls behind the motion tracking and the real person shows none of themselves (some exceptions like Code Miko and K-Son).

I think most girls on /cgl/ are poorly dressed and ugly. Case in point: DPP

>>10772104
I complete disagree. If you have stocky legs in lolita, the trunk legs sticking out of an already big petti doesnt make you look any less bottom-heavy. It kind of just makes it worse. Thats why so many fatties look like pin-heads in lolita. And patterened stockings that get stretched out by wide legs also look terrible.

i agree with >>10772126 stocky and super short girls look like they're being eaten in their dresses. the legs look like stumps when they're chunky + short (example: left) , and the dress looks like it's nearly floor length when they're thin and short (example: right).

also i think fanny looks good in those photos because she looks tall, which still shows that long appearing legs look good in lolita. I'm 5'5", and my lower angled photos always come out way better.

The thin girl looks like most AP shopgirlsnewer as far as height. JP shopgirls probably have a chubbier looking body than her and they look fine. Also different dress cuts are longer. The dress she is wearing is a longer cut than the chubby girl's. Should have compared similar or same height with the same dress. Even then it varies across body type though at the same weight.

Tallitas are just mad that short girls finally have one fashion for us and have to act like they wear it better instead of accepting it is made for petite women. Like you can look cute too but the optimal body look is shorter (and East Asian women or similar skinnyfat body types) because it was designed for our height.

It's substyle dependent too. Gothic is another story as platforms and elongated legs are so common and Fanny comes in there as looking tall and therefore being popular. Classic also varies. But in sweet lolita short (but not actual midget) is supreme.

I try to respect everyone with all different views. When my comm discusses something I don’t agree with, I just zone out for a few moments till it’s over. I mean, losing weight is simple but it isn't easy to do.

If you're going to go about eating less and moving more, and not dealing with the root cause, you're going to keep yo-yoing. Then get tired, fed up, and remain fat or get even fatter. Been there.

What's really going on is addiction. Unlike alcohol or drugs, we need to eat. In the US, you can't go far without cheap, accessible food shoved into your face. Everything is made to be hyper-palatable and cheap. Plus, mental health is something that is hard to access and can be difficult to diagnose and treat properly.

So people get addicted to food, and then their body goes haywire dealing with all this shit it didn't evolve to deal with.

I'm one of those people. I ended up with an illness because it took far too long to address the mental health side of things. I didn't get horribly fat, I could still wear plenty of brand. But it was enough to fuck my shit up. It's under control now and I'm losing rapidly (without working out). But I can't go back to the way I ate before otherwise it'll come back. Fuck no to that.

I have a lot of empathy for fat people because while it is simple to lose weight and keep it off, it's not easy at all. There is no instant gratification, like cosmetic surgery might offer. Just the gradual "fuck yeah, this JSK fits again."

In the same way that eating disorders are additions, the hate people have against fat people is the same hate people have against addicts. It's good to talk about these kinds of things and rally together for our own sakes, but trying to appeal to the idea that it's an addiction won't change the minds of these people. Since the core issue is that they see addiction as a moral failing.

>> No.10774294

addictions ARE a bad thing and are a moral failing.
Just because its hard to quit doesn't mean its okay to keep doing it. Being a meth addict is just as disgusting as being fat, yes its an addiction and quitting meth the wrong way could just kill you, but the fact you're addicted to meth in the first place is a terrible thing and you should be trying your hardest to stop taking it.

Yeah its easy to get addicted to eating like a fatass, but its still objectively a bad thing and isn't something to be proud of. There's many ways to help but like all addicts the problem isn't that its hard to quit, its that the addict doesn't want to quit and they should be shamed for this.

There are far worse drugs out there in the world than "food" that you'll literally die from quitting, yet those people are still able to go to rehab and fix their lives. Why can't you other than because you're lazy?

I've felt like this, and I would guess it's a relatively common feeling for a lot of women that are otherwise drawn into alt fashion, which is why these communities seem to be overflowing with EDs and genderspecials. There are a lot of ways you can try to feel better about your body/ improve your self image, but a lot of women get wrapped up in unhealthy coping mechanisms that really just amount to self harm because they're seeking a feeling of control over their bodies. Unironically seeking therapy and changing diet and exercise habits makes this feeling of hating your body go away over time, it really is that simple.

It takes years for people to rewire their brains, change their core content and let go of the maladaptive behaviors that plague them. Said behaviors don't appear out of laziness or from having too cushy of a life - they're usually a sign of trauma. I personally have been attending therapy for over a year and working extremely hard on getting better, but it takes time. Nayrt but do you not understand that shame drives people away from seeking help? Shame makes the sick people cling to each other and spiral even further. When people don't feel like they'll get browbeaten for admitting they have a problem and seeking help they are more incentivized towards tangible improvement and seeking alternatives to their self-destructive coping mechanisms. This applies to all sorts of mental illnesses, from EDs to addiction.

Also, no amount of shaming someone will make them develop self-discipline, which is what you need to overcome any of these illnesses. You are genuinely better off avoiding/ignoring fat people deep in their bullshit if they bother you, but I'm guessing you live in burgerland so that's impossible.

If they're going to survive treating their body so badly, it will be their choice to see a doctor and I'm not going to comment on it because they likely won't listen to me anyway.

I will, however, argue with the lunatics who preach healthy at any size, in the same way that I think it's morally repugnant to uplift drug culture.

I got nipple piercings when I was wearing lolita. It was an impulse purchase at the mall. There was a neckbeard in the shop making weird comments about my coord, I wanted to leave but I had already paid and they said no refunds if I backed out. I wanted to strangle the shop girl when she loudly shouted to the piercer “two nipple rings” as the guy was looming around me. Don’t get your nipples pierced on impulse at the mall. Wear it somewhere you'll feel comfortable, like with your friends who will most likely compliment you. Hell, even with just one female friend by my side, normie interaction drops by 75% percent. If you're scared of that, try going with multiple friends or your boyfriend if you have one.

Western brands are crap to begin with. If you look at rr.memorandum for example their dresses just get wider but not proportionally adjusted to taller/bigger sizes. In reality the dress needs to be adjusted in every aspect, including longer sleeves, longer bodices, longer skirt and shoulder measurements. Meta is doing it right in this regard and you don't see many Meta hamplanet itas because the dresses are well designed and itas just subconciously flock towards ita shit, no matter what. You don't have to get that extreme with sizing though. If your brand offered a petite size, normal size and tall size, it's still inclusive enough for most people.

most of you all are missing her point that she thinks fatties are ita, period. itas flocking to bad brands or not doesn’t matter.

for instance, mary magdalene has pretty strict/restrictive measurements, and the outcome is that you rarely see itas in it. bare minimum: you have to be able to afford it and fit into it. it’s tall lolitas friendly and the bust goes anywhere from 87-90ish CM at max for some of their jsks and even OPs. so no, making it tall, bust, and broad shoulder friendly is not going to attract fatties if MM managed to do it. waist is the big kicker.
