yeah honestly it was kind of underwhelming. as a newbie it was fun seeing friends and coords irl but it was just a very small vendor hall and not a lot of events. compared to a lot of anime cons it felt very bare-bones but that might have just been an unfair comparison in the first place

the issues with the caterer kind of put a wrench in everything else day 2

Yeah I was really mad about the tea. The event cost so much, I know some people had rolled over tickets but I bought mine. I could've bought afternoon tea somewhere else in KC and had a nicer time by myself. Even the vendors were shitty besides Neant. I miss Mossbadger and IDD and indie brands that don't just resell garbage from taobao or make ugly Etsy tier dresses

There were some other really nice indie brands, they just seemed to be a bit overlooked because they weren't selling tons of main pieces. Nemeth Wild had some great undergarments for lolita and Sweet Mildred come to mind.
