I sympathize with so many posters in this thread. it's gotten to the point where I literally have to ditch some of my regular long-time con friends anytime I want to interact with female cosplayers because it's gotten to the point where these dudes have grown so resentful at just the sight of me having a pleasant interaction with a woman. Just wanted to chime in that girls also have weird situations like this in friend groups. I had leukemia in my late teens and obviously wasn’t looking my best. I had a group of friends I’d go to cons with, but when I got stable and cancer free I had a big glow up. Suddenly I wasn’t the pitiful, ugly friend in the group anymore and they just could not cope with that at all. I had to drop the entire group and make new friends in college because they just could not be happy for me and were just nasty and jealous about the fact that suddenly I was getting attention too. I’ve seen it happen to other people too. They keep you around because it makes them look/feel better about themselves but the moment you glow up and look better than them they just lose their shit. I hated just how much circlejerking there was in my HS friend group.
Went to college in the city when they all went to some state university and continued HS 2.0. Looking back on them a few years into the future, they still play the same game, still have the same drama, and still the same people while I went on to make a buncha new friends. One of them took me to ANYC and that's why I'm on this board now, I fucking love cosplay and is finally going to cosplay for ANYC 2022.
Sometimes you just have to take a risk and oftentimes it'll reward you.

Quite possibly the biggest dope I've ever met in my life was a con photographer. He told me he'd send me the pictures he took. What did he do? Send a completely blank email. I pointed this out, and instead of actually doing it, he told me he'd get back to it later. Anyone with half a working brain cell knows that 95% of all lies ever start with "I'm going to/I will." You can put less to make it less obvious. Before I took accutane I used BB cream, concealer and powder. Light is the best way, it was not for other people but for my own confidence, it did help.

She used her fake accounts to report a cosplayer she is jealous of and also reported one of her photographer's accounts. Both deleted. I think the cosplayer managed to get her account back. I don't know about her photographer's account, though.
